Plz give a feedback of its services, Im currently deciding btw TES and stormfiber. Sick of PTCL
According to TES themselves, as well as Cybernet reps, Stormfiber takes lease line from TES...

Anyway, as another post above said, I've found Storm to have consistent download speed of 20Mbps as advertised but upload speed consistent of 5Mbps...The upload speed can be increased if you call and speak to the Stormfiber rep. TES Customer service, when I was trying to get the connection, was not extremely responsive (I think they had too much stuff going on with new connections etc) - Storm on the other hand has excellent customer service with query turnaround time of a few hours. They installed the connection in a week, sent SMS/Email alerts about the whole process and their sales and tech rep personally called to see if I needed any other issues resolved.

IMHO, Strom will be slightly more expensive in the long run, works well because Cybernet has tech and customer handling experience and runs as advertised. TES will do most of that with maybe a little less emphasis on customer handling. Either way, as things stand currently, you can't really go wrong with either. Hopefully it stays that way for both and they don't screw it up :)

nice thread but what should one do who has none of these ISPs in their area. I'm in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi and only have the option of ptcl/desi cable and maybe these other 3G services. I need the connection for moderate internet usage. Currently using PTCL and its no good, most of the time not working or if its working its too slow.
Any recommendations?

You're in the same boat as me. Deal with it and pray that INSHALLAH we get Stormfiber TES sometime this year :V

muneebrocks . Looks like GPON. I am on transworld too but cooperate since I don't have Gpon in my area.

Looking at your tracerts it looks like Gpon is a bit slow with 20 more Ms. Not that big a deal but I would prefer the lowest.

how much does that cost?

and what is the speed?

and yeah I live in the very selected area where transworld actually provides home connections

PS using wifi if it makes a difference

I am just on a 2 Mb connection . Its cooperate connection but now I am tired of paying them so much every month. Will upgrade to GPON in march or Strom fiber by cybernet.

I got Transworld installed 10 days ago. So far, very satisfied with their services. stable 2.2-2.3 MB download speed in torrents. And im getting 140 ping in League of Legends which is around 20-30 less than worldcall.

So far so good. If anyone wants a specific ping test, let me know :)

Mine took a while (close to 2 months). It was because my house was slightly out of their coverage area (According to the map on website, my house is still outside their zone). However, I kept correspondence with them through email and pushed them to speed it up :)

My friend made the payment for his connection on Saturday and they gave him 2 weeks for connection. I will update when he gets his internet installed.

My friend, if I may impose, where exactly are you located? In terms of Khyeban and nearest landmark.

If I am intruding, let me know accordingly and in that case, apologies for prying.

you guys need to check out Optix fiber as well. I am using it since last 5 months and their services are good in terms of reliability, support and speed. i opted their 10 Mbps package and they give me three months free boost speed of 20 Mbps for whole day. you can check their package on Optix.
