Basically I have ptcl 8 mb connection
It costs me 3k excluding taxes I have no clue how to find out how much is the total cost with tax.
Does anyone know?
it is extremely unreliable and I want to replace it with a stable and reliable internet.

I live in Phase 6.
Transworld costs around 4000 per month including taxes with 14 thousand installation cost.
that I believe is the best option but its a bit expensive.
Fiberlink is far cheaper with 32k per year including taxes and installation but I heard that it sucks in lahore not sure about karachi I dont want to pay the entire amount only to have a sub par quality net.

I have zong 4g as a backup net however the volume is limited I was hoping to get rid of zong and ptcl and get one super fast internet

Are there any other companies I should look for?

I live in Phase 6. D.H.A Karachi

I'll make it easier for you;

PTCL after taxes is around 4.2k/month including phone rent. If the set up is good in your area, go for it. However, their customer service is still quite average. (Pie based)

Fiberlink in DHA is 32k WITHOUT taxes. With taxes, the total amounts up to 4k/month aka 48k/year. Either way, DO NOT go for the yearly package; you might get yourself into something you can't come out of. (TW based)

TES is by far the best option. From what I've heard, it's stable, pings don't jump, their routing is good and most of all, their customer service is great. 4k/month as well. (TW based)

All in all, all 3 options cost around the same with varying speeds. If stability, latency and streaming is not an issue for you and only download/upload speeds matter, go for Fiberlink. If you want stability, latency and streaming as well as constant good speeds, go for TES but with a heavy installation cost. If you want to go for a quick fix and get internet asap and want mediocrity in every department, go for PTCL.

Thank you so much for your reply
I am surprised ptcl costs this much.
And the guy told me fiberlink will cost 32k with taxes if I pay yearly but I am unsure if I want to go for the yearly contract
I guess tes is the way to go.
Already have zong for 3 months prepaid due to their double volume bundle I guess ill switch after that

Thank you so much

My only question is it worth the cost to pay installation fee?
Because zong 4g wingle is pretty fast.
and if I pay 4000 a month I can expect a 100 gb which is adequate for my needs.
https://www.zong.com.pk/mbb/4g-wifi.php
would you recommend paying 14-18k installation speed for the small occasion when I actually would require more than 100 gb in a month?

You probably need to reconfirm Fiberlink prices, as should I. I am paying Rs. 4200/month for Fiberlink (not yearly).

If TES installation is a hindrance, go for Stormfiber. It's Cybernet's consumer-side GPON. You'll be more than satisfied with it. Check out their deals too; https://www.stormfiber.com/support/packages/promotion/ .

stromfiber is actually more expensive.
It costs 4k without tax.
Tax is around 20% (19.5)
which makes it 4800 atleast

I am stuck between zong tes or fiberlink

Can I ask why do you have fiberlink if you rather have tes?
Would you recommend fiberlink or consider it a bad mistake?

Zong is 3,800 inclusive of tax for 100 gb which isnt too bad.
while tes is best for unlimited usage

and I was talking about yearly rate of fiberlink
TES is not in my area sadly, and neither is Stormfiber. If they were I wouldn't have Fiberlink to begin with. For e.g, the last 3 days choking issues have been better, but I keep getting disconnected every 2-3 minutes for 3-4 minutes for hours at times. It's like I'm using a susti market wala cable.

Stormfiber is a little more expensive, but you don't really have to choose the highest speed they have. If you're looking for stability, they're at the top.

Lastly, even the yearly rate of Fiberlink with taxes is 46k + afaik. You can recheck by calling the person and telling him that you're from DHA Karachi and that you need those extra 3 taxes on the receipt (Sales tax, society tax and advance tax).

EDIT: I have no experience with Zong, but a 100 GB limit can get scary. I personally wouldn't want any caps on my interwebs.

Hey. Was wondering if you'd gotten TES and if so, what's your experience been like? Trying to decide between TES and Storm...need reliability, consistent speeds and no dropouts/disconnections.....mainly for torrents and netflix streaming etc (no gaming)

Thanks.

I have ordered it it should come in a week.
first time costs are quite high had to pay 20k.
TES is also available in very few places where do you live?

well I guess if it turns out to be reliable, I don't mind paying the one time cost. Monthly is similar to what I pay worldcall :s

Just called them, waiting for call back. Let's see. There was another service too, Connect or something - any idea about them?

Dont go for connect.
All the other companies arent that good
stormfiber and tes should be the only ones worth paying the one time cost

let me know how much they charge you

they quoted the same price you did - max 20k....he said it could be a little less depending on fiber length required
trouble is the time, they're saying it could take up to mid Feb :(

yeah imagine I have given the order weeks ago.
1 month working time is the norm even fiberlink takes that much time.

I am on Zong 4g for the time being as long as I control my data. Its very reliable with zero down times so far as super fast

I have the zong 4g wingle thing - but for some reason I only get 3g speeds...maybe no 4g signal in my room? not sure
