Battlefield 3 Gets Into The Aftermath
We've already told you about Armored Kill, which will be packing in a ton of vehicles and enormous maps. Aftermath, the next in
Battlefield 3's DLC sequence, will be going in the exact opposite direction.
Aftermath offers new maps set in Tehran, which has been destroyed by a major earthquake. The result are a collection of maps strewn with rubble, buckled buildings, and other types of obstacles/cover that you'll have to use to complete your objectives.
But there won't be any shortage of new vehicles. Both military and civilian transports will be available, although they'll be "heavily modified" to be more multiplayer-worthy. We doubt they'll be going the full Mad Max but we're sure these vehicles will have some nasty surprises waiting for your opponents as well.
You also get a new game mode, assignments, achivements, and dog tags, just to keep things fresh in the game.
No release date has been announced but as DLC comes every three to four months, December 2012 or January 2013 are the likely target dates.
