Faysal Bank debit cards also work online without activation. Have successfully tried it on playstore and amazon.

hey guys,
so I've recently moved to Pakistan for my higher studies, and my parents are in the middle east. Which bank should I open an account in and what type of card should I get?
The factors I'm looking at are these:
1. Ease of transferring funds to my account from abroad
2. Very important - Ease of online purchasing (mainly Steam and daraz.pk I guess) and might be doing some freelancing work by next year.
3. Not as important as 2 but discounts and offers at restaurants
I have zero experience with this stuff so any sense of direction would be appreciated. I've also heard about Easypaisa which is like Paypal for Pakistan? How does that work?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to get a debit card soon, and am confused?

Things I need to do with debit card:
Paying bills online swiftly.
It should work on majority of international websites( like netflix, amazon , aliexpress and others sites accepting visa/mastercard)
No need to activate sessions to do online shopping.
Decent discounts offers :p

My brother has a standard chartered debit card(current account) and I am quite impressed with it. It works on a lot of websites. But I cannot get standard so looking at other banks. Kindly suggest me banks?
And also share your experience with them regarding online shopping and general experience.

Thank you

I went to bank alfalah yesterday . I also wanted to purchase stuff online like steam , Facebook etc. Since I'm a salaried person I was eligible for their credit card service. Your salary has to be minimum 50k. I'm also planning to get debit card.

Now I'm confused between meezan bank and bank alfalah. Which one should I go for ?

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
