As we know the "Generation Of Gamers" is kind of "weird" . We all know this because No one ever played the legendary games such as , Pac-Man ,Mario , Legend Of Zelda , Doom etc

Mainly because their graphics are too "old" . they mock us old gamers with their new games! WE SHALL NOT LET THIS HAPPEN!

To Stop This Happening We Must :

1. If you have a young Friend/Cousin/Brother who knows absolutely nothing about Gaming , Introduce him to it by showing him the oldies goldies selection of games . don't buy him that hi-fi shi* .

2. If he gets older and still likes to play games , Do some AWGWS (All Week Gaming Without Sleeping)

3. Show him some Good titles , Not those CoD ones ( no offense they suck.)

4. Then Post Your Test Subject Results To This Page !

5. Congratulations! You Have Just Helped The Gaming Community !

We played those games because we had nothing else to compare. That was top of tech in 88-94, Yes that's exactly where it all started for me. First ever game I played was Tanks on NES, and that Duck Hunting game . then came Mario and my world change.
But that is part of our childhood. In next 20 years this generation will treat CoD, and all the crappy ones as classics and will take same place as Mario is for us. Which makes me sad.

But now I wish youngsters should never play games more than as someone watches a movie for some hours and that's it, instead go out, play with real people and achieve something. I know it sounds cheesy but that's reality we were all hit from blind side. The Dark Side of Gaming. The addiction, Hurting our eyes in front of those old CRT TVs, Mind stuck in one level while in school and always figuring out what should allow us to clear a game level.

A child's mind is very nimble. It's very easy to get hooked. This should not happen. Over abundance of entertainment products are destroying the creativity and problem solving skills and making us High Definition Graphics Zombies.

Certain people have to balance their timings of what they really do , I study , play games and hang out with my friends , it just needs to be balanced in a good time table of your routine .

for the first part , That is why I want the old games to stick with us rather than CoD become the old is gold , It would be really sad to see this happening .

I believe taking games as serious as a history of a country is not right . I simply spent 45mins to 1 hour daily to play games however I know I myself used to spent hours on games until I realized how much time I'm wasting . So I'v now decreased the time to just an hour . And most of us plays Mario and pac-man (including myself) but I think it's nothing to be upset about that the current games are dominating over the old ones . Pac-man and Mario had their time ,people also spent 1000 of hours over them .Now people spent 1000 of hours on BF4 and CoD . It doesn't really matter really .

Maybe unnecessary freedom makes things worst... it takes a looong time to change the habits. gaming should be introduced in steps and with guidelines by parents\guardians\elders...

I have played all these titles in childhood , and used to play a lot now as I am growing , I am shifting more from gaming to spending hours watching tv series and movies , browsing web that is even more worse than the time I used to spent on gaming on consoles and pc's .
now we have smart phones etc and they have some great classic type game titles as well , thing is we can't change any thing next gen will be even more tech addicted and every one will be tech zombie , more and more tech coming more and more real life will end .

despite my age , I started gaming at the age of 5 , I dident play Bubble Bubble cause it dident excite me as much as other games . I still played other retro games . even tho there was CS i never played it until now D: lol

i started gaming at 6-7 .. which is in late 80s .. .. bubble bubble was fun at its time .. i like snowbros more than it ..

Tell me you spent about 500 hours on Contra. Road Fighter and Bomberman. And to change the game you would push the reset button with your foot and mom calling from downstrains with all kinds of bizti to get off your a** and go out and play.

Those were the actual days in real world. Now Games like GTA V are just wrong, they affect real life decisions.

Basically those games in our childhood were simple but focused on decision making. Now you don't even know what kind of crap your subconscious mind picks up, conditioning you as a Zombie wanting for more, more and more while taking your soul and innocence in return making you desensitized.

That's why I say kids now a days should not be allowed to play modern games.

I usually suggest to people with small kids to make them play the old console games. Give them a NES, Genesis, SNES, PS1, PS2 or any other retro console instead of a PS3/360 and that kid will thank you later in life. I kinda come off as annoying sometimes though and unfortunately they do not usually agree with me and go with the usual iPad/Phone/Wii route. Not saying Wii isn't a good console, but come on, those old retro ones are so much better.



The games on those consoles are still amazing. :')

A few days ago my little cousins, like 7-9 years of age, visited my home and all they were asking was to see cartoons. To your surprise not Cartoon Network. They wanted some channel with Cartoons depicting Indian religious idols as kids. Those kids were hooked like zombies. Nothing you could do to change your channel or face the rage from them.

This is called subliminal conditioning, There are cues in those cartoons below conscious threshold. India does the same with Star Plus Dramas.
Have you experienced a situation where you would stumble upon a SOAP Drama and Watch it for 10 minutes just out of curiosity but those 10 minutes takes an emotional toll on you and you can't stop thinking about it for next 3 hours and your mind wants to go back. They are so emotionally intense they actually take your emotional sub-system as a hostage.

This is exactly happening in Games. It's subliminal advertising developed in 1950s purely to condition mind to consume media. Be it McDonald, KFC, Mobile usage, Mobile Packages, Facebook, Hollywood Movies, Indian movies, Cartoons... Everything leading to one goal, Consume Consume Consume and In this case games.

So Protect your children. Don't let them become something you have no control over when you ask them to stop consuming games.

iPad is great platform. Those are simple games with simple decision making skills, just need to make sure they aren't violent and Graphics heavy.

i didnt had console for me .. only sega mega drive and that for too long as i got a computer then so i gifted it to my cousin .. contra and etc .. i played on arcade machines at game shops .. !! .

GTA V etc is crap i also dont like those .. too much craziness ..
