Let me describe the whole story.

Switched on the PC after a week. It turned on to windows log in screen, I entered the password and went to washroom to wash me hands and face to get fresh for a gaming session as I usually do. On my returned I found the PC was shutdown. I again turned it on and found that the PC again shuts down (suddenly went off). I opened it again and this time it turned off at the bios screen. Since then the PC is just not turning on!! The mobo LED lits, but its acting as our current president (DEAD) no matter how many times you push the power button. I dis assembled the whole PC, took of GPU, soundcard etc. and put the mobo on a cardboard, and tried it again with my PSU and my Freind's PSU but again no gain. Can any one tell me what could have happened to my dearest ASUS P8Z68 DELUXE. Is it repairable?

My specs
Mobo : Asus P8z68
Processor : i5 2600
GPU : Diamond ATI 7970
PSU: ThermalTake 550W
DDR3 : Silicon 8gb

All working fine for the last 8 months!!!

do u have a stablizer / ups / attached to the system , could be a sudden power surge /- remove the rams and try different rams from a friend / - to rule out things best to remove the cpu and ram and check on another board if they work fine , then it could be a faulty mother board

depends on whats wrong with it , some get repaired some dont .

Yeah..I have a UPS backing the system. Secondly I though ASUS P8Z68 has a built in surge protection or something. I am still praying that I should be my powersupply. Anyways, I am in my office right now and have my PSU, Freind's PSU and MOBO in the car. Will visit a computer shop to thoroughly check the issue

You shouldn't "Pray" that it is your PSU. When they die they usually take other stuff(Mobo, GPU etc.) with them.

Checked it from a shop near by..PSU is fine. He said MOBO has some issue with BIOS. He recommended me to visit SHINGTECH. But Shingtech's office timings are exactly same as my office timings in Ramzan! I shall try to visit them today though

So, today..SHINGTECH guy called me (after 6 days) and said, the main chip on your mobo is dead and therefore your motherboard is unrepairable. U may take ur motherboard back without any payment and buy a new motherboard. Inna Lilla He Wa inna Lillahe Rajioon
