[h=1]Arrow: Stephen Amell Teases Deathstroke’s Return[/h]

When The CW’s Arrow premiered, it did so to a bit of a rocky start. For many, the soap elements and darker take on the character didn’t hold true to the Emerald Archer of the comics. Luckily, as the season progressed, the show found its voice and Stephen Amell settled nicely into the role of Oliver Queen. Part of that success was helped by the other members of the ensemble, namely Manu Bennett as Slade Wilson. While his future as Deathstroke was well-known to fans and even teased throughout the series, it wouldn’t be until season 2 that he’d step out as a villain and provide the show with its best run of episodes to date.
Since Slade’s defeat in the past and present, he’s been locked up on Lian Yu just waiting to reappear. While he did so virtually during the Invasion crossover, the actual Slade Wilson is just waiting to come back onto the show and provide Oliver with the villain that truly matches him. While enemies like Promotheus, Vigilante, and Kovar are all exciting and worthy adversaries, the Green Arrow’s true rival is Deathstroke. Luckily, it looks like we won’t have to wait much long for his return.
Amell has taken to his Twitter to share a very familiar photo with fans, teasing the return of Slade Wilson to Arrow:
Hello old friend. pic.twitter.com/MWDonZTWNN

The photo can be taken in one of two ways. The first is that it signals a return to Lian Yu and the reappearance of Slade in the present. Given he’s locked up there, it’s inevitable that he’ll show back up at some point on the series, rightfully upset with Oliver. The other possibility is that this is the longest payoff for an Easter egg ever.
Back when the show premiered in 2012, one of the first references we got was the shot of this Deathstroke mask with an arrow through it. Eventually, we’d see Slade’s former partner Billy Wintergreen wearing a similar one, before Slade donned it himself. During the final confrontation on the Amazo with Oliver, Slade got an arrow through his eye, teasing the Easter egg from the previous season. With Oliver rescued from the downed sub by ARGUS, however, we’ve never seen how the mask got set up on the post. With the flashbacks about to wrap up the story of Oliver’s time on (and off) the island, this photo could tease the completion of the journey.
Given that Legends of Tomorrow recently wrapped filming, this shot could be from the finale of Arrow. If so, it could both serve as a reintroduction to present-day Slade while also wrapping up the mystery of his mask from way back in season one. Either way, it’s a fun indication for fans of the show that the character will be back in some way before the end of the season. When we know more, we’ll let you know.

Manu Bennett, the actor who plays Slade Wilson, teased 'next phase' for Slade Wilson

Will Deathstroke return to Arrow? Manu Bennett hints at a "next phase" for the villain

A recent interview with David Ramsey, who also plays Diggle, teases Slade too.

Prometheus is our “big bad” this season and we aren’t done with that. We aren’t done with Slade Wilson. How Prometheus manipulates the team to slowly destroy and break down Oliver Queen is going to be very interesting and I hope people enjoy it.

Get hyped! Slade fucking Wilson is coming back! I'm guessing he is reintroduced by end of Season 5, and will have a major role in Season 6.

New Arrow episode was epic.

Damn, this is the darkest arrow episode ever. Flashback centric episode, but in present day Adrian broke Oliver.

Next ep promo:

Damn, this also looks good. Arrow is raping The Flash this season hard.

So who watched Stephen Amell's award worthy performance today. I never saw this kind of acting from him in any of the seasons before.

I know that every one is praising the latest episode, i kinda find it Meh.. True that acting was top notch, but the show is more getting into blabbing (too many talk scenes (not talking about the flashbacks ) rather then action, which was the reason it got famous for initially.

[h=1]Arrow: Nick Tarabay Teases Captain Boomerang Return[/h]

As Arrow nears the season finale of season 5, it looks like the hit CW show still has a few tricks in its quiver. What fans will see in the final six episodes of the season is the build toward an all out war, as Oliver (Stephen Amell) hunts down Prometheus for a final showdown that promises to be epic, and a true return to form for the show.
While the season has picked up in recent weeks following the reveal of Prometheus’ identity, the push to the finale has generated questions with regard to at least one familiar face popping up before the current storyline comes to a close. And while an unconfirmed tease of season 2 Big Bad Deathstroke showing up is still out there, it’s beginning to look like more rogues are readying an appearance in season 5.
Actor Nick Tarabay took to Twitter earlier today to post a photo teasing his return to the show as the villainous Captain Boomerang. The photo shows his arm and hand in a leather glove and thick coat, holding the signature metal boomerang that gives him his name. The accompanying tweet reads “Who really misses this guy ? Cause as you know….What goes around ALWAYS comes back around.”

Captain Boomerang, aka Digger Harkness, has appeared in Arrow and been mentioned on The Flash, although he hasn’t been seen on-screen since season 3. Harkness was part of ARGUS’s Suicide Squad on the show, and was taken down by the Arrow and imprisoned in the ARGUS supermax on Lian Yu. His final confrontation with Arrow may come into play in his appearance this season, as he taunted Oliver about his refusal to kill. Oliver has since been revealed to be a killer, and this has been instrumental in both the betrayal of Artemis (Madison McLaughlin), and the fury of Prometheus this season.
It will be interesting to see how Captain Boomerang returns, especially given his long absence and incarceration. This may have changed him, but it is far more likely to inspire him to revenge against the Green Arrow, and that is going to be bad news for Oliver and his team. Tarabay’s tweet doesn’t say anything more about how he will appear, however, so there is no way to know exactly when he will be returning to the show — or if it is even Arrow that he will be returning to. It’s possible that he could be making a surprise appearance on The Flash, or even Legends of Tomorrow, given the interconnected universe of The CW shows. We’ll have to wait to find out — but thankfully, we won’t be waiting too long, with only six weeks to go on the Arrowverse this season.
Arrow continues next Wednesday with ‘Disbanded’ @8pm on The CW.

I think we will see Captain Boomerang and Slade Wilson break out of prison together.

According to Wendy Mericle, The Season finale won't be about destroying star city nor taking place in star city. Only logical place left the finale taking place is the island Lian Yu.
Slade will return and escape, and same for boomerang. I'm thinking this escape will lead to Captain Boomerang being in Flash Season 4, as part of the rogues.

Damn that was one heck of an episode, Oliver confessing he liked it and basically shattering everything he stood for. It also foreshadowed how brutal Oliver had become leading up to S1. I still hate it what they did with Laurel but S5 has been outstanding.

New episode was amazing also. Bratva focused episode once again! Damn i loved Antaloy and Oliver's friendship. I hope its patch up again. I have a feeling Bratva will be a big part of S6.

Also that ending. Adrian is really sick, and just whistling like that while driving.

Promo for next episode

Arrow Producer: Felicity Will Never Suit Up as a Superhero

Things have never been darker for Oliver Queen, and they’ve also never been better for Arrow. All season, the show has been getting back to basics while also exploring a new batch of characters. Despite the increase in Team Arrow members and Star City heroes, however, one lone villain has been able to thwart our protagonists at every turn. The showdown between Oliver and Prometheus has led to some bleak moments for the hero, but has also made for some captivating TV. In the past few weeks, we’ve seen Oliver tortured into admitting a deep truth about himself and watched his slow transformation into the Hood begin to come full circle in the flashbacks.
Yesterday, Oliver finally brought war to Prometheus, setting things up for what’s already been billed as a psychological and personal finale. We’ve also been teased that the show will see the return of Deathstroke, so there’s never been a better time for Star City to gain a few new superheroes. Over on Legends of Tomorrow, we got to see an alternate reality this week where Felicity Smoak suited up as a tech-based vigilante in the wake of everyone else’s deaths. Could a version of this become a reality for Team Arrow’s sole desk jockey?
EW (via CBR) spoke with Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim about the future of the show, and he made it clear that there are two very specific things the show

There’s two lines in the sand that I’ve drawn for Arrow for myself. I can’t speak for Greg [Berlanti] or for Wendy [Mericle], but for as long as I’m involved with the show, the two things I never want to do is kill off Thea and put Felicity in a mask and a costume. Those, to me, are two lines that I just think are a bridge too far. Thea, because we’ve taken so many family members away from Oliver, and Felicity because when you put a character like that in a costume, I think it diminishes who that character is and it makes the idea of superheroics seem silly.”

Spoiler: show

The reveal of Felicity’s costume for Legends seemed to drive fans nuts. Some were excited to see the hacker finally out in the field after years of being surrounded by far less qualified individuals doing the same. Still, others prefer Felicity to be the anchor for the team and the one person who doesn’t enter into the larger-than-life world of costumes and masks. It seems that Guggenheim agrees, meaning Felicity’s turn in Legends will remain a fun bit.
Meanwhile, the fact that Thea is immune to death will likely be welcome news for Willa Holland. Though it may be a bit spoilery to reveal Thea can essentially never die—except for that one time she was killed and resurrected—it’s also good to know that Oliver won’t have to bare the weight of losing every one of his family members. The show has already put him and Quentin through hell in this department, so it’s nice to hear Thea is the one person of the show who’s safe. That said, the show still has plenty of other characters who could be casualties of war, and we suspect at least a few of them won’t make it out of this season alive.
Arrow returns on April 26 with “Dangerous Liaisons” @ 8pm on The CW.
