Apple making a cheaper 8GB iPhone...

It seems a cheaper 8GB version of the iPhone 4 has entered its manufacturing stages. According to two unknown sources for Reuters, Asian suppliers are assembling the iPhone 4 with a lower memory capacity and the new 8GB flash drive is being manufactured by an undisclosed Korean company. It could be Samsung Electronics although there's no official confirmation on this. The new lower-capacity iPhone 4 will be ready for launch within weeks.
When the iPhone 4 was officially launched by Apple, an 8GB 3GS model was released for a cheaper price. It seems logical for this to happen again after Apple's new iPhone is announced.
Also according to Reuters sources Apple is aiming at a September launch for the iPhone 5 (or 4S), which will supposedly have a bigger display, a revamped antenna design and a better 8MP camera. Apple is rumored to have assigned production of their next iPhone to two manufacturers - Pegatron and Hon Hai, and the total number of planned devices should be around 45 million.
There's not long left now until September 7th, which is the go-to rumor date for the big iPhone announcement by Apple. Fingers crossed!

I wonder though how many people would buy this ... iPhone 4 (the true version which is for 50k+) has become sort of a status symbol, so now if someone carries this 'cheaper' model, 4S, and then tells people about it, they'll give him bad looks like ... "oh, he bought the cheaper phone .. " .....

Remember HOW Jeremy Clarkson says JAAAG in Top Gear? People who owns a JAAAG. (I cant exactly pronounce exactly the way he says it just by writing it). Its no different when it comes to iPhone4.

You ask someone, hey which phone you got?
Reply will be a pride answer (well, mostly ... because some people are humble enough to say Alhamdullillah) ... its iPhone4, a 32GB version (pronouned as EYE PHOOOONE FOURRR). And seriously, they WAIT to see the look on the face of other person.

Same is the case with us, the Galaxy S owners. For instance, if you encounter some iOS lover and he asks you about your phone. If you reply GalaxyS, you'd have to wait for a PROPER facial expression inorder to choose whether to continue brag about what it is .... lol :tv:

So i completely agree to what Ahmad pointed out earlier. Electronic devices Are becoming a way to judge others' status.
And if we see a perosn carying iPhone4, the very first thought which comes in our mind is Meh! Zardari ka puttar. Baray paisay hain pai iss k paas.

But it is a matter of interest too yaar...

Aik normal middle class wala banda bhi iPhone 4 rakh sakta hai given that he has interest in gadgest or cellphones like iPhone 4 and has been saving up to buy one...

Just like us gamers do, we like a franchise, a new game in that franchise is gonna come out, we know approximately how much the price will be, we start saving and when it is launched we buy it.

But what is sad to see is bragging and showing off one's wealth and pride through these kind of things (I won't deny that iDevices are expensive and something to be showed off) but judging people by electronics is just wrong man...

For example even a high pay-grade guy can own a simple basic Nokia 1100 so if a middle class iPhone owner sees him and thinks of his class then well, clearly a big and wrong misunderstanding...
