and 21 people for 1200 rs ..
he loses he give 200 rs soda + 800 rs in change to girl = 1000rs
+ he will give back money to the other shopkepper 1000+1000 = 2000

No loss at all so far. Just a routine sale of 200 and you have that 200 in your pocket as real cash.
I disclosed in the evening that the said note of 1000 was fake.
You very kindly changed that fake note with a real one. This is the loss.
When you replace a fake note of 1000 with a real one, you face a loss of 1K. Thats it.
Its not simple but very simple. You just need to think the other way.
You can perform it practically as well to reach a correct answer.

lol firstly y is no1 accounting for the fact that he had to give the 2nd shopkeeper money from his own pocket so he lost 2k not 1 and secondly its been a month alrdy. y is there no official answer yet?

No, He took 1000 change from the shopkeeper which in the end he returns. So the shopkeeper is out of the equation. The problem is, the girls took the item of 200 along with the remaining 800 rupees. The other shopkeeper is in to complicate the question while he has no effect in the equation.
