Piyare Bhai Note 1000 Ka Jehli Nikla, to Loss 1200 Ka Kaise ?
1st Shopkeer did received price of grossry he sold (Rs.200). I think its sale, not loss. What do you think ?
You are not counting the item that he sold to the woman was worth Rs 200
So long story cut short
He suffered a loss of Rs 1000 due to fake note and another Rs 200 because of the item
Total loss = 1000 + 200 = 1200

Edit:
Ok I'm probably counting the loss of item twice
The loss should be = 800 + 200 = 1000
but I'm not sure

i thnk it will be between 1800 and 2000 cuz
1. Larki ko 800 rupee change dia
2. 200 rupee ka saman bhi dia(unless the shopkeeper got it for free :p this part is highly variable)
3. and now dusra dukandar 1000rupee mang rha ha

Wow, reading all those replies got me so confused I actually had to rethink this from scratch. So here's my analysis:

Suppose that before the woman came to the shopkeeper, he had Rs.2000 in his pocket and an item worth Rs.200. So in total he had assets worth Rs.2200. After the fraud, he lost that item, but retained Rs.200 of the cash and he'll have to pay Rs.1000 back to the other shopkeeper. So at the end of the day he'll have Rs.1200 with him, and he'll have lost that that item. Hence, TOTAL LOSS = 1,000.

WHY EVERYONE WHO'S SAYING 1,800 OR 2,000 IS WRONG:
You're counting the Rs.800 he lost to the woman twice. When he had the money broken and gave the change to the girl, he actually just transferred his loss to the other shopkeeper and later on that other shopkeeper came back merely to reclaim his original amount. Here's another way to view it: if the shopkeeper did lose 1.8k or 2k, then obviously the other two parties involved (the girl and the other shopkeeper) must have gained a total of 1.8k or 2k (because obviously the money the shopkeeper lost didn't disappear into thin air). However, the fraud girl only gained Rs.800 in cash, and an item worth Rs.200, whereas the other shopkeeper didn't gain or lose anything, he just reclaimed his original amount.

So if you use the money gained = money lost logic, you'll also arrive at the solution that the shopkeeper just lost Rs.1000

I hope everyone understands this now.
SPOT ON.
Your explanation made me realise that loss is 1000 instead of 1800. Considering the situation in terms of profit and loss makes it a lot easier to understand. (Y)

OK ive had enough, the loss is 1000 Rs, and iam gonna take you step by step to prove it.
Suppose i am the shopkeeper and at the start of the scenario I have 0 rs in pocket and an item worth 200 rs. My balance= 200Rs - 0 in debt.
The girl comes, gives me 1000rs fake money and I give her the item worth 200rs. My balance= 1000Rs(fake) with 800 Rs in debt to the girl.
I have the fake 1000rs changed to real 1000rs from the other shopkeeper. My balance= 1000Rs(real) with 800 Rs in debt to the girl.
I give her what I owe her. My balance= 200rs - 0 in debt.
The other shop keeper demands his 1000rs back and I give it. My balance= 200-1000=-800.
To find net profit/loss you simply take away what you had in the beginning from what you have now i.e -800-200=-1000

So my net profit is -1000 i.e a loss of 1000.

Its 2000.

Items sold = 200.
Change given to girl = 800
Money owed to shopkeeper = 1000.

Here's how it works. Since the girl has fake money, she technically pays Rs. ZERO to the shopkeeper.

- Each penny involved in this transaction is going out of the shopkeepers pocket.

- The items he sells, out of his own pocket.
- The change he returns to her, out of his own pocket.
- The fake money he has to replace, out of his own pocket.

In other words, you give someone items worth Rs. 200, then give them cash Rs. 800, and then you pay Rs. 1000 to a shopkeeper.

Fuck this.

simply,
-the shopkeeper goes and gets change for a (fake) 1000 rupee note
-gives the girl her 800 and keeps the 200
-the note was fake so he owes the other shopkeeper a 1000
-he gives him 200
-he still owes him 800, plus he gave away the 200 rs product for free

so he loses a 1000.

Dont think anymore guys. The answer is Rs.1000
2nd Shopkeeper has been involved just to make the things perplexed.
Otherwise, she left with grossory of 200 and real cash of 800 in lieu of fake note of 1000.
So the real loss of 1st shopkeeper was 200 + 800 = 1000

He took 1K from the 2nd shopkeeper and utilized it. You know he kept 200 and gave 800 to the girl out of that 1K.
This 1K had come from 2nd shopkeeper which 1st shopkeeer utilized. Later he returned the said 1K to him.
Jab 1K (real cash) le li aur baad main 1K hi wapis kiya to nuqsaan kaisa ?

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
