Any dealing with PAYLESS.PK ?

Hi, I have just bought a supposedly brand new 'Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo GT-I9060' mobile from payless.pk. Unfortunately the mobile that I have received was either screen replaced or repaired and NOT brand new (see the attached pictures). I have now written to payless.pk to replace the product.

Is anybody here who has any idea about PAYLESS.PK ? Is it a reputable vendor or I should just consider my money as wasted and retain whatever I have received now. As it is possible that after sending them the defective mobile for replacement they may not send anything. PLEASE ADVISE ANYBODY. (PAYLESS.PK is in Karachi and I am in Lahore) (Any help @Jshak )

here comes another one, have you not seen enough cases online and in the news to not trust online shopping here.

we should really prefer shops which are recommended by friends or provide the cash on delivery option. even then you bought without seeing/verifying the original pictures....

your only hope is to either call them or visit them and threaten them in some way possible for a replacement or to get your money back. emailing/texting wont work
there is a complains number on their webpage, have you tried it?

btw: sgs4 for 24k and sgs4 mini for 33k........

My suggestion is to buy infront of you then relying on third party domestic clients. It is a better tip to avoid any issues

I have contacted PAYLESS.PK, they have replied that by mistake they sent a repaired mobile and they can send a new mobile provided I send them back the repaired mobile. BUT I do not want to trust them again now as I am in Lahore and they are based in Karachi. So I have an offer here for Pakgamers and I am willing to pay Rs.500-1000, whoever can help me with this.

You will visit PAYLESS.PK office in Karachi, return them the mobile that I have sent to you and get a new mobile from them. You will have to thoroughly check the new mobile that it is NOT REPAIRED or REFURBISHED and its totally a genuine and new Samsung mobile (Model No.Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo GT-I9060). After all the checking and confirmation to your complete satisfaction, you will courier me the mobile in Lahore at my address.

Of course anyone who is interested must have the technical know how in checking a used mobile and should have a pakgamers rating higher than 30. My cell no is 0333 4671865, please contact immediately if interested...

and this way you will lose the repaired mobile phone too. Don't just go around trusting everyone, buddy. If they want to replace the phone for you then do it, send them the phone and I am certain they will replace it.

ask the marketplace mod if you can make such a thread in the market place (i dont know if you can) to pay someone for his one-time services

Today I sold the set in Lahore for Rs.8,000. I consider myself lucky that still I was able to recover this much amount out of Rs.14000 that I paid as Cash on Delivery. I was simply not willing to trust PAYLESS.PK again, spend another Rs.1100 for courier service charges and was afraid that I might lose the repaired mobile too. Some very important lessons learned which many of you probably already know:

1. Cash on Delivery looks like a very safe option these days. But I was swindled even on Cash on Delivery simply because Leopard Courier Service refused to deliver me the parcel and let me check the item without paying for it first. GUYS DO NOT PAY CASH EVEN AGAINST CASH ON DELIVERY WITHOUT FIRST INSPECTING THE ITEM

2. As always buy from only reputable vendors or online stores which I guess include daraz.pk and homeshopping.pk. Buying from unknown vendors inevitably involves a lot of risk, like refurbished product, fake product, unreliable product, etc and of course poor or no after sales service and returns. Many of these online stores which have emerged today are probably short term opportunists

3. Do not ever buy anything from PAYLESS.PK, I have gone through their facebook page (I only wish I had gone through their facebook page earlier), I have found more reports of bad dealings

We should start a social media campaign against them, and we should form a platform where we can rate, review and share experience of online vendors of Pakistan.

Just saw this thread today. Wish I could helped you since Phase-1 is not very far away from me. Anyways good to know you somehow got a chunk of your money back.

@assasin42o PAYLESS.PK later replied to me that they do not entertain anyone at their provided address and all their selling and returns takes place through couriers even within Karachi...So I guess only when someone is really pissed with them, he can go to their provided address and teach them some good lessons...Thanks a lot bro anyways


@Faateh I would again suggest anyone who buys things online against Cash on Delivery to thoroughly check the items before paying cash..And if the courier refuses to let you check the item, then you would be better off refusing the item..Normally I used to check items before paying cash for all things that I have bought online but this time Leopards Courier was not letting me open the envelope for checking the mobile before paying cash and I eventually fell into the trap, paid cash and bought a faulty mobile

I don't get what people see in these online sites while you can easily find the goods in local markets for much cheaper. Heck you can even check it thoroughly before buying.

I'd say it's the convenience and low costs that attract...Will anybody deny that you can occasionally get very good deals online which benefit both the buyer and seller?
