I might be missing something really obvious here, and to some this topic might sound kinda dumb, but I'm kinda lazy to brainstorm about it, so I'll ask here...

Okay, so I like to record myself playing guitar and singing. And I usually use Audacity for that, and I've stepped up to Adobe Audition CS5.5 just today. But I've been recently wondering what do i need to exactly do, if I want to, well, film myself while signing and playing guitar via the webcam. Now I know that I use this random 'vmcap' program that's in windows which allows me to record video and audio at the same time, but that's it. The program doesn't do more than that. I'll use examples here. With vmcap I would probably end up with something like this: (i will not covering this song btw :p)

It's raw, unrefined, no backing tracks etc.

What I want to do is end up with something like this:

I'm not asking about achieving the high video quality or audio quality. I just want to know how to to gain that ability to capture a video of myself while I'm recording myself in Audacity or Adobe Audition. I thought about maybe running both vmcap to film myself while I'm recording myself in Audacity/Adobe Audition at the same time and then putting the two together in sync via windows movie maker or something, but isn't there a shorter way to do this? Syncing the two tends to be a very tedious process. Isn't there a simpler way to do this?

I really I hope to get some feedback to this. Thanks in advance :D
