wow You bought a Mobile! i thought you need PTA approval for importing phones. and many people say customs pe clear nahe hota etc.
Custom scene is predictably unpredictable in pakistan ..

UBL debit card and NIB debit card both work , You just have to call the bank first and set up an internet session first. Other than this small inconvenience these cards have worked everywhere i tried them at.

Guys one of my friends ordered an SSD from Aliexpress Worth $108 , can anyone tell me whether any Custom Duty/Tax will be charged or not. And if so then how much will be charged?
He is shipping it to Lahore and chose Free Shipping at check out.

Well, according to FBR, there's only a 2% duty on SSDs.

Yes the import reaches your home within 10-30 days usually. Make sure to read the reviews of the vendor. Duties can vary, depends on custom people. I bought some electronic components. No duties.

i was looking to order some electronic converter like hdmi to dvi and blah blah stuff. any info about custom duty ? plus do you have to pay the duty at your home ? like COD?

My vendor sent the package as a gift maybe that's the reason no custom was accounted for it. Do let the vendor know in a message to ship it as a gift. They are pretty quick to reply (usually in a day). Also duty depends upon weight. I have heard (not experienced myself) that either the custom people will call you and let you know that about duties to be paid and the item to be collected or you'd have to pay on delivery.

Another package of mine is enroute. Let's see what happens about it.

Btw why would you import hdmi to Dvi when they are pretty easily available in the market here in karachi?

well that was an example. i want to dorder toslink fiber optical to analog sound converter havnt seen this is pakistani markets. well i will go through check ali express and see around things. only thing that scares me are the custom people. they screw around alot

I don't think so you'd have any trouble with the customs with the thing you mentioned. They won't even understand the product [emoji14]. Read some previous posts nobody has really encountered any issue with customs. Try your luck.
