Acer predator helios 300

hello guys I needed some advice regarding the mentioned gaming laptop.

the sole purpose to why i need a laptop is:
1. making 3D and 2D animations
2. designing
3. dealing with clients face to face and making changes on the spot

i have a desktop pc with specs:
i7 6700k AIO liquid cooler
16gb ddr4 3200mhz rams
aorus z270x gaming 5 mobo
evga gtx 1070 FTW
256gb ssd
1tb hdd
1tb sshd
corsair vs650 psu
3x 24inches 1080p ips screens

in short a gaming build runs faster than a workstation build but renders slower so i dont mind the render time since thts not v often with me. Also a latest workstation build with the same specs will cost me more.

tht kept aside,
i want a laptop closer to the specs of my PC and obv a cool price tag
so acer predator helios 300 is for $1,049.99 without tax on amazon i guess

• 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ Processor (2.8GHz Up to 3.8GHz)
• GTX 1060 6 GB
• 15.6" Full HD (1920 x 1080) widescreen IPS display
• 16GB DDR4 Memory
• 256GB SSD

il add an extra 1tb hdd and a nice gaming mouse along
THIS IS NOT AVAILABLE EXCEPT IN USA so i might get it shipped and i need suggestions for tht too..

i think thts more than enough for a laptop and all the power work il be doing in my PC.

also i think its important to mention tht i have a budget of 130k so any other brand or specs suggestion can be really helpful .

Ask magiclamp.com as they have it and I personally also had done a deal with them with no problem, but mind you Predator Helious don't have a color accurate screen. Such laptops are ok for gaming and watching movies but not design work or else you can attach a color accurate monitor with laptop. Also Lenovo Legion Y720 is also an option but it uses same screen as Predator. In international market Lenovo is expensive than Acer but surprisingly in Pakistan Lenovo Legion Y720 is at very reasonable price, 160k without SSD and 168K with 128GB SSD compared to ASUS which is almost 2k. If Importing and taxes are less than 160k than by all means go for Acer. Also for color accurate laptop Dell 7567 with 4k is very good only you'll get 1050ti instead of 1060.

yea the screen sucks... im getting it from usa to dubai then here its costing me 125k to 130k approx then il have to get the hdd and a mouse later for 10k extra... more acc such as the laptop cooler and a mouse pad with cost me more...

ok so amaga here is charging 135k i think its fair because if u add up the tax and shipping hes not charging much, i might pay him on the friday or saturday. warna i have a friend who is getting it shipped from usa to dubai then by hand to pak so tht will be way cheaper, around 120k

It shouldnt be more than 130k tbh that too if you get it delivered here, whereas shopkeepers get it in bulk. Its cheaper for them but charging 179k is too expensive they are assholes charging tht much

Hi Sabih, did you purchase the laptop through Amaga then? Also can you link me please as I have no knowledge about how pakgamers network work and I want to purchase this same laptop but not for 160k+ like few online vendors are selling and rather for 135K like you have mentioned here in the thread.

I ordered it through sufi tech, he was once a premium seller here,
i got a better deal tho, the laptop itself and a 2tb sshd for 137k, 17th is the last day to place the order since his shipment will arrive around 28-30th of sept.

it was an 'ok' experience.. it came a little late but agaya tha, like 15 days delay because my hdd came late to his address (i ordered the bundle) and i had to place the hdd replacement order through the site and fortunately it was shipped next week. i have a delivery guy hes coming next week he will get it along. and apparently 2 of them have been shipped because the 1st one couldnt be tracked but it arrived anyway.. he charged me 20$ to get it to pak... for both of them.. so il sell it to anyone who needs it...
