A-Z Food Cafe Scam

So a few months ago, these boys came to my house with these restaurant discount coupon cards. They talked very nicely and lured me into purchasing this card. The card was supposed to give me discounts on their deals and 'buy 1 get 1 free' offer on some items. They sold it to me for 400 rupees & told me it was a lifetime card, meaning it will never expire.

I never had a chance to use the card, until today when i decided to try it out... Guess what? None of the delivery numbers on the card are working. The PTCL numbers seem to be inactive, and the cell numbers are off.

I then tried finding the restaurant myself but no luck, it seems the place never existed in the first place or closed down long ago.

So please guys, never trust these kind of people who come to your doorstep selling you these coupons and stuff.

I'm really mad but what's done is done.

Even if it's legit, you're mostly gonna get really really low quality joints. Better to just look for deals in well known places.

Those cheapsters use to sing around around my neighborhood too with pizza coupons..
they are not allowed to mingle here now.

some of these coupons actually work too.
a more wise strategy one could play is to call on the numbers or physically identify the associations of the coupon by any means possible.
A long time ago i bought Pizza Expert coupons but i did called on their numbers before buying.
later some months ago i visited there north nazimabad branch, it was closed, then i call the given number and gave them a dose.
they informed me that the DHA branch was operational. Then some time later i went to my cousin's place at DHA and used that coupon. It was BAY one get TWO free..
..and yes Three pizzas did came at the end but with the Cheese of One.

So yeah, the party was crapped.

Some restaurants also sell coupons at their Branches. Those are better

Buying Coupaos ? :| What ? I thought coupons came with products you purchased from them .Like at subway if you order a sandwich,they give you a stamp and after 6 stamps,you show it to them and get a free subway sandwich.You don't buy those stamps,you buy the sandwich and you get the stamps with it.As for coupons,I used to receive tonnes of these whenever I visited Mcdonalds and made a big purchase and they'd give me a coupon just like they gave the OP .I hardly ever used them because the deals were not that attractive but sometimes they came in handy.

I've actually bought coupons from guys like this coming at my door twice or thrice and AlhamdulillAllah have never been scammed. though the last time I bought it was a while ago and I called to check to make sure that the company was real AND that these guys were actually from the company. And these discounts have shown to be pretty good...

They are also being famous over cities. These are kinda fake. Or if the shit exists. The quality of the food is really low. They hang around my colony too though.
