If you could support then you should have bought PC altogether, Ps4 is best for it's exclusives though, i know it will be difficult for a mouse/keyboard user to get used to a controller, but trust me after few days you'll get used to it, and i would say that for 3rd person games, controller is best. For FPS games keyboard/mouse is always better.
So just play exclusive games on Ps4, and play Multiplat games on your 3lakh PC, which i assume, will be enough to play in 4k full detals.

List your PC's full specs. Everything including. I would suggest to upgrade your existing PC over spending a fortune on a totally new platform which will not have noticeable incremental performance. 4th gen is really really good.

Ok, first of all buy a PSU and GPU. As your budget is very high these are one of the best things to invest in because they are modular, later if you want to upgrade your cpu etc, you can just use the same psu and gpu.
Buy a good 80+ Gold PSU, Cooler Master V650 is among the best, if you want to go with corsair, be a bit careful. Just like in GPUs where there are vendors msi, evga, asus etc. While the underlying card is of amd or nvidia, sane is the case with PSUs. Corsair, rosewill, cooler master are vendors while the underlying unit is made by CWT, sunflower etc. You need to make sure that the underlying unit is made by a good company regardless of the vendor. Mostly corsair PSUs are made by CWT or by joint productions, mostly Chinese. I recommend you to get the Sunflower ones. I personally have a Rosewill Capstone Gold and it is bullet proof, solid as hell with a 7 year warranty. Dont cheap out on PSU, buy once and it will last you forever. And remember wattage does not tell anything, just quality matters.
For GPU go with a EVGA GTX 1080 (currently available at 66k ish from Pakiyoungster sealed) or if you wish, buy a 1080ti, these will last you at least 3 years maxxed out and above easily.

Again does not matter how rich you are, dont waste money if it is of no benefit. Invest in the items above first, enjoy them, you will be more than satisfied, if still not then you can always upgrade your platform using the same new PSU and GPU.
And if upgrading 2 things is not intriguing, then next thing will be a monitor, I know you said you have bought some sony 40inch but I guess it will be pretty shit for gaming. 4th thing to upgrade will be your SSD to a high end samsungs or crucials 1tb one, they are cheap.
Note: Again investing in any of these things will be not a waste as they are all modular. If you want to buy a new cpu, you will have to buy a new motherboard and ram as well and after like 3 ish months intel 8th gen will release and it is a rumor that 8th gen i3 = 7th gen i5. There is a very high chance of this to happen as AMD is pulling Intels leg, and if it happens, your upgrade (which already would have cost you a lot) will be totally worthless.

If you're only going to be gaming at 1440p, there is no reason to get a 1080 Ti. Just get a good 1080 from ASUS or EVGA.

Also, don't cheap out on PSU since it's one of the most important components. I'd recommend going with a Corsair RMi or RMx series at the minimum and look for around 750W unit.

BTW if you only have a 1080p monitor and don't want to upgrade, then don't even get a GTX 1080. You'll be bottlenecked hard by the CPU anyways on 1080p if your using a powerful GPU. Buy a GTX 1070 if you're not going to be playing at a resolution higher than 1080p. Same applies for 1440p and GTX 1080 Ti. While you need a GTX 1080 Ti to do 4k60 FPS at max settings, it would be an overkill to get that GPU for only 1440p. A GTX 1080 can easily get to 144Hz on a 1440p display provided your CPU is powerful enough.

I also wouldn't recommend buying a 4K monitor at the moment. Most are limited to 60Hz right now and have no support for HDR and Wide Color which makes a much more difference. These monitors would be coming out within the next year and will also support higher framerate as well. That would be the best time to upgrade to 4K.

Finally, the only thing I recommend upgrading apart from your GPU and PSU is your SSD. Specially since you only have 8GB of RAM (I personally prefer at least 32GB at the very minimum, but I'm a heavy multitasker as well) and need a quick way to get data in and out of memory. Unfortunately, there aren't many good options here as Haswell based CPUs didn't have extra PCIe lanes for an NVMe SSD. You will be most likely stuck with SATA here until you upgrade your CPU and Motherboard. At that point, you can even experiment with an Optane cache as well.

For psu, if you want to buy locally then go for RMx series by corsair, 650W, if not available then go for 750W one, they are also tier 1 PSUs. If you want to go 4k, then buy 1080Ti, otherwise for 1440p buy 1080, it is more than enough.

I think it is way over priced, secondly what is your resolution currently and do you plan to upgrade to 4k?
