    Which game are you gonna get first? Demon's Souls or Dark Souls? I'd recommend you to get Demon's Souls first because the game is shorter than Dark Souls. It'll give you a quick summary of what this franchise is all about, plus the story of Demon's Souls is way less cryptic.

    It has all that good stuff. But don't think this is just a straight forward game with an easy to see line between black and white. No, this world is full of very dark shades of grey. If you're one to give an effort and piece together the story than there will come a time in Demon's Souls where you will stop at one point and question your own motives.

    All this sounds good, but be prepared. This game is seriously not something to be taken lightly, especially if you entangle yourself in the web of false truths and pseudo lies. This game literally broke me at times. Do NOT dedicate all your gaming time to this game. Play another game with this game and switch in intervals. I played Dark Souls and only Dark Souls when it came out and the things it did to me..... I can't even put in words. The stuff going through my head dazed and confused me everytime I woke up. I know it sounds like I'm over-exaggerating but I'm not..... There are many other people that went through the same thing I did.

    "Less is More" is the concept of this franchise. Demon's Souls has some very impressive weapons and armors. Most of them are taken straight from the history books, their original names, their motions and the way they were held as well as some background knowledge are all in there for each and every individual weapon. It's really amazing how much care and thought went into making each weapon. You never feel like your waving around the same weapon. The armor is also something that looks stunning, a lot of inspiration is taken from real life Knight armors. If you have a fancy for these kind of little details than Demon's Souls will not disappoint.

    Dark Souls takes all of this to a whole new level. The entire armor and weapons library is increased 10 fold and each and every weapon still has it's individual feel. It's kind of overwhelming how much time they spent designing each weapon and armor set.

    When you play this game, I think you'll love it more than me.

    No, the soul devouring demon is something else. It is the Old One, a demon placed in this world with an insatiable thirst for souls. It's cries for souls to feed on, resemble that of a pathetic child. The lore of this game goes pretty deep (if you choose to dig for it that is) and it is a very dark game. Dark Souls even more so.

    PS: that dragon like creature is the Dragon God. And yes, he is every bit as intimidating as he sounds...

    So i just found out that f***ing s***bag Microsoft shut down Arkane Studio (makers of the brilliant Dishonored series) and Tango Gameworks (makers of the iconic The Evil Within series), among some other studios.
