i am nearing the end of the game and i can say for a fact that it gets worse the closer you get xD
Make sure you're backing up your saves folder frequently ..
mine's largest is like around 4 mb i didnt do much crafting or shit cause i knew about this bug as well.. xD
Okay so i finished the game last night here's what i would give it.
(PC - Review)
Gameplay: 5/10
+ Gunplay is tight and smooth, really loved it.
+ RPG elements are pretty okay.
+ Cyberware elements provide a certain variety in gameplay
+ Cars and bikes look pretty cool and are fun to drive/ride around with
- Customization and crafting is rather simple.
- Stealth is shit.
- Melee is shit.
- AI is fucking abysmal (dont fucking get me started).
- Gigs are repetetive
- Does nothing new, pretty much old ideas getting reskinned. Not worth 8 years of development.
Graphics and opt: 3/10
+ Characters look decent.
+ Cars and bikes looks pretty cool.
+ The setting for the city looks pretty good at certain points.
- Fucking potato people everywhere.
- Nothing like what was showcased in 2018, its a downgrade obviously.
- Texture popins
- Bad antialiasing issues with smoke and reflections.
- Some textures and models look straight outa PS2 era.
- Does not by any mean lives up to the current generation standard visuals, heck it fails to live up to the last gen's visuals as well. I mean i've played games on PS4 which looked better than this.
- Fake HDR on launch.
- Resolution problems.
- Frame rate dips.
Plot: 7/10
+ Setting is awesome.
+ Johnny's Arc is pretty good.
+ Has good character development between you and johnny and other NPCs that you come across.
+ Keanu fucking Reeves baby.
+ Main plot seems sort of stretched but it plays out okay.
+ Multiple endings
- Your selection of your character's class has 0 impact aside from prologue and occasionally presenting you with a choice in dialogues with 0 changes being reflected on the outcome of the situation.
Sound/Muisc 9/10
+ Music is good
+ Voice overs are good
+ Impacts and other sound effects are well done.
- fucking glitches out sometimes.
Replayability: 2/10
- I wouldnt recomment it. Not for now at least, maybe in the future if they get their shit together and patch this whole mess.
I'll give it a 5 out of 10 overall, PC experience.
But i still think, for 8 years of development this is garbage. The game does nothing new or pulls off anything which prior open world games havent already. Infact i think it fails to do a lot of things, even simpler things which GTA/RDR etc games have accomplished extremely well and CDPR should have learned something from them.
Meanwhile in a parallel universe..
The fucking 8 years summed up pretty drastic for CDR. I actually feel bad for them. Honestly speaking, I was hyped for this game as it had been in the development of this long period, but meh. On top of it: the refunds, the lawsuit and the criticism across the platforms is simply nightmare for them.
People are only really enjoying it in parallel universes it seems.
