GamesRadar | Game of the Show: Watch Dogs Legion

Watch Dogs Legion isn't just our game of the show because it's tackling post-Brexit Britain head-on, but because it's one of the only games at E3 2019 really pushing gameplay boundaries. Set in an alternate near-future version of London, where a serious change in politics has meant mass employment, a heavy reliance of automation, and a general unrest has taken over the city. Like other games in the series, you play as a member of Dedsec, but where Legion differs is that you'll be crafting your own team of rebellious agents, and thereby creating a raft of playable characters that you can switch to at any point. Imagine GTA 5 but with 20 characters instead of three, and you'll get the gist. Watch Dogs Legion is doing something that few games truly are, and that's innovating. Whether that's totally successful when the full game arrives in March 2020 remains to be seen, but of all the games at E3 2019, it was the game that made the biggest impression.
Doesn't really mean much, as media coverage can be both positive and negative.

Moreover, different methodologies used to track data can lead to varied results.

I want to see more of Watch Dogs Legion.

Conceptually it sounds really bonkers what they're promising to do.

It's a weird day when FFVII has been playable at E3 before Cyberpunk, which has had multiple E3 appearances.

And Death Stranding, the game which no one thought was even in a far along state, is releasing before both of them.

No participation trophy for Control though. Damn.

Yes, half of the awards in your 'list' are on the GCA judges panel, hence rendering it useless lol.
yes, they do not care about hands-on playability, rendering their opinion on the GCA panel useless (except ofcourse when it supports one's own narrative lol)

And then there's wccftech. Need I say more?
The wccftech you did not point out when you took screen grabs of God of War's metascore? What could you possible have to say about them? Lets hear it

More wins from the "useless GCA judges":

yes, they do not care about hands-on playability,
All games in your list besides Cyberpunk were playable for the press. Besides the critics in your list who gave their individual game of the show to Cyberpunk 2077, the rest clearly do care about hands-on playability.

Moreover, the hands-on stipulation is something I've always supported. Gives great credibility to their judgement. But sure, you'll see it as something that supports my 'narrative' because it actually doesn't support your own lol.

The wccftech you did not point out when you took screen grabs of God of War's metascore? What could you possible have to say about them? Lets hear it
There are plenty of cheap wannabe critics added to Metacritic now, which certainly puts a question mark on its credibility. Do I care about Eurogamer, which is on the GCA panel, or a clickbait site like wccftech? I'm sure you know the answer. I've said this before, but I mainly care about awards with a credible panel of judges. GCA is one of them.

More wins from the "useless GCA judges"
Their individual picks are useless when they've participated in a cumulative decision. And going by your updated list, more than half of them are on the GCA panel lol.

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

  • L LegacyGamerGuy:
As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
