I have put more hours in this game than on any other game I think. 50 plus hours in a week and a half. Jaysus.

one of the best open worlds ever created. Gameplay story missions are a bit too linear for my taste but the world goddamn.

I am roughly 25 hours in the game and have just completed Chapter 2... The best thing about this game is that it gives you so many meaningful distractions while you are moving from one point to another. This is how open world games should be made. I know people (including me) are complaining about the controls and all but after hours of playing it you pretty much get use to it and the fantastic sense of the open world then takes over.

Rockstar has a fix in the works for a bug that makes several members of Arthur Morgan’s gang disappear from camp early in Red Dead Redemption 2, the company said Monday.
After several reports over the past week from players about some of Morgan’s confidants going missing — including major players like Sadie Adler and John Marston — in the game’s second chapter, there are now both workarounds and promises of a solution. Rockstar identified the issue in a support post, explaining what causes these campers to vanish.
“If you completed the mission ‘Polite Society, Valentine Style’ at the start of Chapter 2, but needed to use the Retry Checkpoint feature, then Sadie, Jack, John, and Abigail will only appear in camp when they have missions for you to complete,” reads the support page. “We are aware of the issue and are currently working on a fix to be included in an upcoming Title Update.”
There’s no date for when that latest Red Dead Redemption 2 update will go live, so Rockstar advised that players follow a fairly simple, if challenging, method to keep Sadie, Jack, John and Abigail from going missing.
“In order to experience all vignettes and conversations, players must complete the ‘Polite Society, Valentine Style’ mission without using Retry Checkpoint. If the player fails any portion of the mission they should abandon and restart mission, or load a save before the mission failed.”
If it’s too late to go do this, then players will certainly miss some of those key interactions. But at least their ability to progress in missions won’t be affected, Rockstar explains — and all four characters will be back by the time the fourth chapter begins.

The amount of effort R* has put in the side missions is really commendable. I just came across a random stranger who fell off his horse and i had to take him to the nearest doctor. Once you hand him over to the doc the stranger gives some money in return and at that point i could have easily made my way out and continued on towards the main mission. Instead i stayed there for a while to see what the doc will do and behold;


Now this is a straight rip-off from BOTW :p

The game's story is reaching it's finality .. I can tell .. the game is making it painfully obvious and it's making me sad :(

even saying chapter number is a spoiler now :p y'all shouldn't be on online forums if you're that sensitive to spoilers in the first place

    I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

    As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

    Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.
