Hello,

I was looking to buy a phone from the online store homeshopping.pk and wondering about the quality of their service and their reliability.

If anyone has ever purchased anything from there, please share your experience with regard to customer support, delivery times, product quality and whether you would vouch for their overall service.

Product: Nokia 7 Plus Black Copper Price in Pakistan - Homeshoppin

Regards.

Would be helpful to know which phone you're buying, and the product link as well. HSN used to sell products they had themselves, but now they've become like Daraz and allow 3rd party sellers to sell as well.

This usually ends up in a long and unnecessary process of paying money beforehand and then being told the vendor / supplier doesn't have the product in stock and waiting about 26 years to get your money refunded.

back in the day homeshopping was famous for buying refurbished mobile phones from individuals as well and selling them as new to customers. the repo of homeshopping was quite poor before. Dont know now if its still the same or they have improved

So I want to buy a Galaxy S9+ from Home Shopping. I'm out of Pakistan, so i am looking for a something which is reliable.

What's the average delivery time from Home Shopping? I can pay online, but since no one will be following up with them "locally", i am a little reluctant.

Be prepared to get:

-Scammed
-Told the product is out of stock.
-Wait for 3 months.
-Never get your money back.

Please find a different way of getting the phone. Send the money to a relative/friend to go buy it locally rather than ordering online.

And don't go through Daraz. Someone just bought an S9+ and got an empty box instead.

Buy from the official Samsung store, save yourself the trouble.

I can only assume you're getting it as a gift for someone?
Yes it's a family gift.

But can i buy online from samsung store? No, right?

The security situation in Lahore isn't so good, and i really don't want to buy a 100k worth of phone and have it snatched on gunpoint on my way back.

If you're in Lahore, try Shophive.

They have the officially sold PTA sticker S9s and they do same day delivery in Lahore if you order before 3 PM.

Aren't their prices a bit too high? :S Plus, they've explicitly mentioned on the website about the Rupee Devaluation.

But good alternative nonetheless. If they offer same day delivery, without much hassle, i may give them a go.

Yeah they are a bit higher, but you don't have to worry about being scammed with these guys. I've ordered all sorts of stuff from them since 2012, never had an issue.

They're charging 104k for the 128GB S9+, which is reasonable, considering retail is around 118k.

The 64GB one is 100k, which is a bit expensive. Can be had for cheaper in the local market, but it's also technically in line with actual retail prices set by Samsung.

As for the rupee devaluation banner, they've had that on their site for over a year now, before the dollar was this f*cked up [emoji14]

I have a general question, since i've been out of Pakistan for a while now.

How come prices for S9 are lower than Retail price? I mean, it's not just in PK. I have witnessed it in other countries too. For example in UAE, it's already discounted here like 20-25% on some models. That's just crazy, in how many months now? 3?

It's normal for flagship prices to go down a few months in. They become irrelevant otherwise. Everyone wants the flagship at a NOT flagship price.

Even here Samsung is offering 10k discount (which isn't much when the phone costs 100k) on some phones, including the 128GB S9+.

Look at the iPhone X, who buys that shit now? An insane person would buy it from the Apple Store and not slightly used or something like that because no one is willing to pay $1000 for a phone that's almost a year old.

Cutting the prices keeps sales steady till the next big thing comes out.

Ok so I ordered on iShopping via the link provided above:

Nokia 7 Plus 64GB 4GB Dual Sim Price in Pakistan | Buy Nokia 7 Plus 64GB 4GB Dual Sim Black/Copper - Official Warranty | iShopping.pk

I made the order on July 18th and they haven't delivered yet. On top of that I called them yesterday and they said that the delivery will take another week.

Should I cancel and order from another store that's faster? Can anyone suggest another store that's reliable and will deliver me the phone in reasonable time?

i purchased 2 mobiles from homeshopping back in 2015 and 2016 respectively. It took them 1 week to deliver my item. They were reliable as i choose the method Cash on Delivery. Not sure about advance payment.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
