i have played many jrpgs over the years from Trails in the sky 1,2 Grandia II etc
but this one is different the combat is more action oriented it gives you more freedom to move and chain combos with ur team mates, its not turn based you seemlessly enter a battle and go out of battle unlike other jrpgs where you touch a monster and than battle begins.
the Boss fights are amazing bcoz the monsters titans are huge you actually Feel the intimidation coming from them that actually feel really really good.
there is alot of driving but thank God there is auto drive mode which u just sit n listen to music while ur buddy drives the car.
the environments,Area Sizes are Huge and going from one place to another takes good amount of time.
more on the battles i really like it and the fully charge shot(Summoning of a god) to strike down the earth to end the battle feels epic .

i already reached chapter 8 which is half of the game and i have not gotten bored for a second.
its not sick as other jrpgs which bores you from tooo much reading and txts
it has small talk than long missions than small talk in middle keeps the game really entertaining and fun.
let c total it has 15 chapters... so i guess atmost a week more and it wll end.reached chapter 8, not bored yet..hehe that will soon change

The last few chapters are rather short. From Chapter 10 to 14, it will barely take you a few hours so you might be able to finish it soon.
My advice is to do most of the quests or tasks that you want before you progress to a new location in Chapter 9.
You guys should wait a few more days. The chapter 13 and 'more cutscenes' patch is supposed to come out within March. Might as well get the full amount of content.
As for me, I have absolutely no idea when I'll even get a chance to play this. ME now, Persona after. Too many RPG's too little time.

i am only doing main missions i am level 26 now and in chapter 8.. wat level should b okay for me to enter chapter 10 as u said.
for me after this game would be horizon dawn.. than it wll b break from ps4 again till exclusives like uncharted , god of war etc come.
yeah but if you're not there yet, they're putting out a patch this month which adds more scenes to chapter 13 and makes the chapter more accessible. I would recommend holding back for a better game experience.
Agree with @Chandoo. Wait until March 24th when the first major update to add new scenes to Chapter 13 will arrive.
To complete the final chapter, you should probably level up to 40 and above.
yeah but the remaining chapters are linear so this is the best time to level up further. Chapter 13 has a level 44 boss fight at the endoh m in chapter 8 so wll reach 12

I am currently 55 hours into the game level 55 and in chapter 8. Right now I am finishing up the remaining sidequests and hunting missions.
I spent a total of 126 hours in the game after getting Platinum and doing all the hard level dungeons and I still have Pitioss Dungeon left. Now just waiting for the DLC to drop on March 24th. I am also Level 115
I recommend to wait until the latest update before you attempt Chapter 13.

Haha..don' tworry. It took me 4+ months and I had the game around two weeks early so before November29th.
damn xD in chapter 9 it got linear i guess but timetravel is there with the Dog...
i got into the Leviathan, the Hydrean glitch hit tht monster for 15minutes when it was down but in vain bcoz no cutscene was coming... will retry today... stupid gltich waste of time.

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making. -

L LegacyGamerGuy:Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
