buying 3ds games in pakistan😣

Hey guys! I am new here and this is my first forum site.
So anyways, i just bought my 3ds xl new for my little brother from karachi and also a pokemon omega ruby, as he is a big fan of pokemon.
Now the problem arose when i looked around my city for 3ds games and found none. My father would not allow us to order games or eshop cards online because of some past experiences. And the more i googled the topic the more scary the region lock began to look like.
So this december we are planning a trip to islamabad.I am hoping that you gamers in islamabad would be able to guide me to some shops where i can look for 3ds games. A friend told me to look in jinnah super and that was a year ago. I dont know if i would be able to find the games anymore. The trip would be short, three days to be exact. And olx and other similar sites are not an option for me.

first of all you need to find out which region your 3dsxl is ? after that you can know what region games you need. tell me the serial number of your 3ds from the back of your 3ds... it would tell which 3ds region is it. it is also on the back of ur box

us uk or asian japan region etc

well yes some dubai games etc do work on us region, so basically you should get region 1 usa games for ur 3dsxl. just when going to a game shop tell them that u need usa region games for ur 3dsxl. they would give u the right thing.. dubai games do work just make sure first from them they would work on ur us 3dsxl

Buying a "New" 3ds xl worth it? Is it easy to install homebrew on it? Can get a brand new for for around 27k, is it a good deal?

Homebrew is not that great...It more compatible on n3ds but if you have kernel exploit it runs much better....Kernel Exploit needs fw 9.2 or lower...I have an original 3ds which is on 10.1 homebrew...picrodrive (genesis) emulator runs great and so does gameboy color emulator..Blargsnes is good too but does not have a great compatibility.

Thankyou so much. But can you tell me which shop is it. I will be visiting islamabad near december 25th. It will be a short visit.
I really want some games for my brother as the 3ds was a graduation gift for him. I had a gameboy once but it got super old and i had only a few games with me. My father says that he will only allow us to buy from a shop. So i really want my brother to get the few games he really wants before the 3ds also gets old.

Yea i read up regarding the firmware having to be 9.2 or under. My question is if i get a NDS XL with 9.2 or lower firmware, can i run pirated games without having to buy a flashcart or something? Regular hacks can play games if my N3DS is 9.2 or lower?

Yes you can by using RX tools and you could use DS flash cart to install exploit which are very cheap compared to 3ds...you can easily find a tutorial online of how to do it...after installing exploit you can download games and install them from devmenu and they would appear as eshop title on your main screen

Getting the flashcart is the problem. I don' think they are available here in Pakistan.

DS Flash Cart are available easily here....buy ds flash cart not 3DS....they cost 1000 to 1200 i think
Thanks for the info buddy! One last thing RXtools works on the new n3ds xl? I saw somewhere it only supports only the old non XL version.

If it works and the cart for DSi works i will buy the N3DS. Also how much is it in Pakistan. I am currently in Saudi arabia and it's 1000 SAR here which is like 27K Pakistani. If i can get it cheaper in Pakistan i can buy there as i am going back soon.

Rxtools works in N3ds but you would need cubic ninja or gateway so its useless...it works on old3ds only...sorry about that...N3ds is cheaper here but hold it off because cubi ninja is very hard to find...only gateway and sky3ds work perfectly on N3ds but they are also expensive

I recently bought a 3DS and was looking for a shop which sells 3DS games at a reasonable rate in Karachi. Specifically, i was looking for Monster Hunter 4 ultimate and Pokemon Omega ruby

Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
