Stephen king is one of the very best writers. If you loved the Green Mile, you will love Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption published as a short story in his Four Seasons book. Also read his Dark Tower series. Fantabulous!

The Gemini Contenders:
Stretched over two generations, this novel has everything to offer that may overlap with anyone's area of interest. Suspense, thriller, reliving the aftermath of World war II, conspiracy involving christianity and approach of the religious fanatics that seem to have no end. One cannot simply go wrong with Ludlum.
Next in line, The parsifal mosaic.

These are amazing books by Ludlum. So gripping, your heart races.
And how everything ties and comes together as the entire plot starts to reveal itself. I read most of Ludlum back in 2002.
Fond memories. I can't recall every nook and cranny around these books, every small detail, but I remember enough and I'm still impressed as ever.
His magnum-opus in my opinion is The Bourne Identity. Thank the Lord I read them back in the day and did not have the crappy Hollywood adaption of the book to befuddle my imagination.
Don't forget to read The Aquitaine Progression. And honourable mentions; The Scarlatti Inheritance.

Just about to finish Dastak Na Do by Altaf Fatima.

This was my second urdu book in almost two years. I found it a laborious albeit a worthy read. It took me 75 days to finish this, a time period in which I usually read 5 to 6 books.

Dastak Na Do was about the trials of life. Set in pre-independence India, it focused mainly on three sisters, their loves and marriages, their rebellions and duties, and a Chinaman who seems to be destined to be a part of their lives. It has tons of characters, but it gets a little dry for long stretches of time. It is highly descriptive and Urdu was a bit hard for me, but still I managed to finish it. Back in 2004, 2005, I used to be a huge Naseem Hijazi fan, but apparently my Urdu days are behind me.

"Bajang Amad" is funny. I've only read portions from it but have a mind to complete it soon. Col. Muhammad Khan is right up there with Ibn-e-Insha and Mushtaq Ahmad Yousufi as one of the best Urdu language humorists.

I should really get around to it. There's so much Urdu literature at home............

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

Welp, done with Hellblade 2. Thoroughly disappointed. Such a nothing burger after the unique experience of the first game.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

It is indeed the worst generation by far.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

  • L LegacyGamerGuy:
As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Gradually transitioning from console gaming to PC as the games are not worth it. 6 hours of Hellblade 2 is just not worth the $50 price tag.
Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
