My last gaming PC, back in 07 was with Q6600 and 8800GT, somewhere at the time of Benazir's Death. Been a avid gamer by the time of Atari (1988), I kinda missed gaming during these 8 years 2007-2015 (clearing Civil Service Exams, Getting married and stuff)
Last month out of nowhere, I had this sudden urge of building a Gaming Rig. Went to Saddar(Rwp) like old times and came to know that the shop keepers don't keep any high end stuff anymore.
So I came back home, posted a thread here on PG about the stuff I required but didn't get the kinda response I expected.
Then this dude @UmerF showed up, guided me where to get all the high end stuff from, told me about this GTX 980 Ti and who deals in it (Easetec)
Anyway, long story short, me and @UmerF both got the 980Ti same day from same guy.

"sorry about the poor pics quality though"

Mobo: Asus ROG Maximus VII Formula
Processor: Core i7 4790k

Cooler: Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate 360MM
Power supply: Thermaltake XT Platinum 1275 Watt

Finally, about time you put up the thread. I was starting to think you never would ;)

Two things,

- Damn it gets dusty for you, try to avoid it if you can but I know it can be super hard considering your room and all specially living in Pakistan.
- Cable Management!!!!!! You need to do it MUCH better lol.

I have done the best I can on cable management on front but the backside of the panel that nobody sees still needs some management as I have literally just dumped all the cables there. Now I have Corsair 800D and allows me great deal of flexibility so your mileage may vary with Cosmos.
All in all, looking great mate.

I'm considering selling my 980 Ti that I have right now for Zotac 980 Ti AMP! Omega Edition or AMP! Extreme (whatever suits better) as he's going to bring them here around 75-78k mark which is quite good as compared to Ease Tec that we paid premium for so I'm excited when it happens. Dark Sith is also looking to upgrade at those prices with 4-Way SLI on those puppies so it'll be good dealing with DSM1 as he's the one bringing them here with local warranty and everything.

About dust, some renovation is going on at my place and you have no idea how hard for me it is to keep it away for dust, will take about a week or two max. Now about 980ti part, why are you selling it and whats special about the other gpu?

Ma Sha Allah! May it serve you well In Sha Allah. Get Intel 750 PCIe based ssd and ATH-M50(closed)/HD518(open) headphones for the rest of your rig.

No Modification, this case support 360MM rad on the front. You just need to remove all your HDD Bays, remove front panel and install it. I did it myself with the help of google. My HDDs are in base rack and SSD is fixed on side SSD mount.

Very very nice built brother. But why not skylake ? 8 saal wait kia apne thora wait mazeed kar letay :p
Good question, one of my friend recommended it but I see no point of getting Skylake unless there's a noticeable difference in gaming performance. I could have bought DDR4 or X99 series stuff, but what's the point of spending extra bucks :D

Every thing is perfect except that case, even my 600T looks much sexier. Some time later change that to nzxt H440, 800D, 750D 780T which ever you like.

- - - Updated - - -

And cable management helps decreasing temps a lot.

I always welcome good suggestions, casing and cable management, what else and recommended me some specific good casing which is easily available locally

Mmm, if you can import, there are many many cheaper ultra quality options. But if you want locally then storm trooper is I think one of the best looking case on the market, but it lacks window, which is a must. Maybe DSM1 can get you any case you want at minimal cost within time but without warranty (you don't need warranty on a casing though).

Let me consult DSM1 since I bought my RAM from him as well

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

Welp, done with Hellblade 2. Thoroughly disappointed. Such a nothing burger after the unique experience of the first game.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

It is indeed the worst generation by far.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
