currently im using Huwaie Modem MTX880 ..and its not working with this modem. will try on other modem and will report back. Im already using PTCL smart Tv set top box and called then to confirm that my port has been upgraded or not.
I guess its a modem issue.
Sir download iptv app from playstore. Also download and install ptcl smart tv pc app and search for m3u format file. Once found copy it to your mobile. Open iptv app on your cell and add file it will load all the channels. And your can now watch all channels on your mobile.

not working with an-1020 white ptcl wifi modem. i did exactly what u said .. all i was getting black screen. i even connected to the ptcl wifi modem directly but still unable to stream any channel, though it fetches the channel list flawlessly. To make it even more sure .. i ran the modem with ppoe ( usually i let my router to do the dialing in bridge mode) but still same issue.
i enabled the WMF and set the multicast rate to highest but still same black screen... called ptcl help line and they say smart tv already activated :S
Thats odd. But this problem has to do something with ptcl and the modem. But tell me one thing did you put vpi and vci of smart tv in bridge mode or pppoe ?

Yes i did put VPI/VCI of smart TV in bridge mode. Though My Internet is also in bridge mode but just for iptv i reverted back to PPoE mode. but nothing works. I even disconnected my router from PTCL modem.
Sure bro...tell them specifically that you are asking for Smart TV PC App subscription.

ok today PTCL guy came at my place and ironically he couldn't figure out himself despite with all the correct settings....He said i will check from back-end and will let u know by tomorrow.

Well bro you configured everything correctly. Just one more question. That is have you tried to run Smart TV PC App by only Wifi or Ethernet or both ?
I have tried to run only through wifi as modem is on other room and pc is on other only using tplink wireless receiver ...
Well there are plenty of well known brands like linksys is the best and then comes dlink. But first get your problem resolved then think about the router if needed to be changed.

no no .. im talking about ptcl modems. im using quite a solid router atm i.e asus ac68u.
