I dont know if i have grown mature or lost my mind, but i have realized how stupid all this practice of cumalative goty awards is lol

People like different games and for each individual any game can be goty, no matter how many people make a particular game a goty, my choice of goty will reain the same hehe

Happy counting all your gotys lol

I find it interesting that you have developed this mindset only for GoTY awards and not for gaming in general.

isnt all democratic process like this?
I mean in govt. , companies, etc...where ever voting takes place, it is at the end of the day a similar cumulative process....so people benefit from this practice (of course there are exceptions)

In a democracy people vote ideology or manifest so there lives improve, in a corporation a ceo is selected to run the company better for betterment of all,so we select a majority vote to select what and how it will affect the person who selected something else lol.

Plus i am the handful of guys on pg who likes call of dudebros and it is hardly a metacritic gold standard lol

Even GONE HOME is infinitely better than BioShock Infinite.

It is understandable that some people would prefer BioShock over TLoU but how GTA V lost to BioShock Infinite is beyond understanding. I am not saying that Team PG choose a wrong Game of the Year nor should it hurt feelings of any PG member since everyone has got their favorite games. Hell, I don't even believe in ONE Game of the Year when there are more than a handful to choose from.

My point is, the biased and flawed voting system. If you don't play enough games and spend more time on forums, you shouldn't even turn up to vote.

I can say with absolute certainty that if GTA V was released on PC, the results would have been very different.

I think it woould still be something like dota 2. This is the biggest game on pg.dota and bf4.

I said similar process
meri jan ghoom phir kar tu wohi baat bani na.....think about it..

we choose a game, so that people know that well a majority of people really like this game, so maybe I should spend my money,time and effort wisely....same thing is with movies, music, art, etc..
I am not trying to limit opinions or choices, it just creates nice "to-do" list

Not to mention the best platformer they awarded that to Super mario 3d world which is funny since nobody currently owns a Wii U here Should have gone with Rayman Legends. Bioshock winning GOTY Okay :lol: . These awards are such a joke. How many people here have played Tear Away?

Damn it. I just noticed that only those people are making a fuss about it who are TLOU fanboys? Is that a co-incidence or have i lost my mind?

Seriously though ... "MY GAME SHOULD WIN GOTY" (yes caps do mean "shouting" here) is getting pretty old now. Lets not "kid" ourselves ... literally.

Like Necro said, There wasn't a single PC Only gamer in voting process this year. Team PG just thought Bioshock infinite is the best gae of 2013 and better than GTA V and TLOU. If you have a different opinion then that's fine. No need to get upset. :guitar:

actually no...only I think I am the one who is actually really pushing the TLoU GOTY movement for fun,
others mostly are PC/GTA V guys

    I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

    Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.
