[MENTION=4999]Pleasant[/MENTION] the updates are not more than 750MB for someone without the DLC and the game itself is 9GB so i guess it could save him a lot of time

non dlc players will have to download the update as well the difference is it gets activated on ur account once u perchase the dlc it doesnt download further
The remaining 9gb is same as clone dvd which is available widely on net

but i think it will take about 1.5 day to download it which is impossible due to loadshedding. BTW i have 512kb/s 8gb wi-tribe connection

non dlc player means who hasn't purchased the B2K yet.

hey can u tell me what ping u usually get on saudinet and german servers if your connection is wireless?

ive been facing this problem from very first day, only solution to it is lower your settings, and it wont crash. i am forced to play on low settings.

No, B2K or no B2K, update is same.

hey i know the original game is 9gb but if i buy a DVD how much will i have to download in updates/patches,etc any estimate cause can't do alot of downloading with paki isp(s)

I have EVO and i get 240-250ms on german servers and 180 on saudinet while other players usually get less than that thats thy i was asking. but if i get dsl and also use a wifi router to use other devices such as cell phones in home then will it afferct my ping?

EVO normally gives 200+ ping. And Wifi router doesn't effect the ping.

Well I lowered settings too but kept getting the same problem, was so frustrated that I threw my money on such crap. But somehow I managed to fix this problem and that was by installing Windows 7 64bit edition since I have 4GB ram. Since then I've have had zero crashes, just rare problem of not connecting to server.

I will suggest to try that if you have 4GB of ram or more than that, it's a bit of a hassle though.

i had to lower them to lowest setting. on medium there were less crashes, on lower no crashes what so ever. my installation of windows is very old i think more than 3 years and i have changed various GPU's nvidia and ATI in that time so i think for me its some driver issue.

There you go, I too had changed my GPU recently..Maybe that was causing the problems..Anyways I am happy now with x64 windows, works flawlessly

If you tried hacks, then consider your account gone. Since there is too much whining about hackers already so EA is not going to show any tolerance here. Buy a new copy now!
