if YES......then you have a registry problem as i have faced the same issue and it was resolved by tinkering with the registry files and this is due to language files are not installed properly .....let US know your current status

Read his statement again where he clearly states "the game just starts blank. I mean there is no video, just black screen.​"

was playing 2 days back .now i keep on getin this -- i started the game today ---but i think origian updated it self -- i also updated punk buster etc--but i keep on geting this ...whats the issue

Everybody facing same issue after the patch.
Notice on Battlelog:

mine didnt freeze but new map dosent load (but this happens sometimes not everytime) i have to quit and then reconnect !!

Yes I meant the same, map does not load, apparently many people are experiencing this issue since long. It becomes an issue when you have to reconnect again and then play with the other team lol. Messes up everything.

i think it is a matter of communication with server .. it miss the info which map is going to be next and our game keep waiting ..
anyway .. it mess the team setup . but not happen many times so we can live with it

i downloaded the patch/update some days ago .. it was running fine after that ... but from like 2 days .. every time i try to connect to a server .. it just gives me the same stupid error ..
yes iv tried that updating punkbuster stuff told by EA .. but the error still persists ..

Guys,you know what is the condition of load shedding in here pakistan. I have recently bought BF 3 limited edition key,i have followed all the steps and succeded till the update process,it is approximately 4 GB so cant be downloaded in one turn as power failure is experienced,when i m resuming the update downloading it starts from 100 something MB when i left it on 800MB !!!!!.....help me plz coz i dont have laptop in case of powerfailure to operate aany other solution regarding my problem will be appreciated ....Thanks

I have an offline copy of 6 December Patch. But it is around 3 GB. Where can I upload this for you?

I ll get the bf3 ru key shortly...I have already got the 13.5 gb reloaded version of bf3....so after receiving the key and after activation of it can I work it with my previous reloaded version download or should I start downloading of clone dvd torrent now or start downloading of game via origin.. the redownload for me is must?

I was trying to upload the patch for another PG but Wupload is giving me error. And it restarts upload after sometime.
All I can do now is wish you luck

I have downloaded the BF3 RU from Origin and it's size was 14.8GB.
As stated by @07ee17, I now have the downloaded game with the latest patches and language packs.

Now can someone explain in a jiffy on how to get it to english? Just need 1 compact,straight forward reply. No need to bundle up the thread.

i myseld bought the game yesaterday..now i ve started updating the bf3 n its 5gb but load shedding wont allow me to complete this patch..
so any 1 who have already downloaded can share its link or something like this..actually this is the folder by name of "update" in bf3 game directory which needs to be shared..Woot i think u wont have problem uploading it for us..

Brother if u have seedbox or something with good upload speed..u can upload the full 5gb patch via torrent

When I switch to English language with the Language Changer of CJS after doing all the copy paste, i get a black screen and voices saying"Mission completed and flying jets sound etc" nothing else. But when i changed the language back to russian from the same language changer, i was able to go in the server and play, no error and nothing else. What is this now.

delete the following file and retry with Origin:
1) Exit Origin.

2) Go to \Battlefield 3\Support\EA Help\en-us


3) Delete Electronic_Arts_Technical_Support.glo

7) Download the English language files from here http://www.cjs-cdkeys.com/battlefield-3-origin/bf3lang.torrent . Extract and paste them in C:\Program Files(x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3\Data\Win32\Loc\


8 ) Download this Update.(Loc.rar) Extract it and paste all files to C:\Program Files(x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3\
When it asks to merge folders click yes.


9) Apply the Language Changer tool given by CJS, selecting English Language there.


Done ! You can start the game !

For the blank screen issue, step 8 (LOC.rar) files should solve the problem.
