LMAOOO @ "97 scoring", even 2013 "97 scoring" games have aged poorly. And we all saw how irrelevant 2D Metroid is last year 
Don't worry, last year was a good Primer in getting used to a Metroid game being overhyped and completely overshadowed in the year end awards

I dont think games have looked any better since 2019 onwards and they are performing worse and worse. Game developers have really dropped the ball.
