Xbox360 controller issue

Hi i hv one spare wired x360 controller lying with me, yesterday my friend visited me, so we decided to have a match in fifa, when i plugged controller in the usb , the X logo just lighten up once n now its not working. i tried in all slots but no luck. The x logo lighten up n it goes , wire isnt damaged, what could b the issue
help plz

Try it with any of you're friend's xbox .It could be the usb hub not working properly .Or you can try it on PC ? I believe the wired controller works on PC as well ?

Well usb hubs r fine as my hard drive is also plugged in

some chinese controller donot work with xbox but works with pc

it worked on my previous xbox but now it stopped working on my new xbox but works on pc

new cost Rs 1100 in karach as per pg member haidersangi

If its original, get it repaired if its not buy another one. Its as low as 1.5k
