[h=1]Here are the games leaving Xbox Game Pass this month[/h]

[h=2]Subscribers can pick them up at a discount if they want to keep playing after then[/h]

Ten games are leaving Xbox Game Pass at the end of February, headlined by Shadow Warrior, Massive Chalice, Sonic CD,and Resident Evil Revelations 2.
Xbox Game Pass offers a “curated selection” of about 200 titles to subscribers, with the catch being they can disappear from the library at any time. Players who have downloaded the games get an error message if they try to boot one up past its expiration date.
Outgoing games can be found under the “Leaving Soon” category in the Xbox Game Pass tab on the Xbox One dashboard. You have to scroll down to see it; it’s the sixth section from the top. The list is typically updated around the middle of the month.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers can buy the games outright for 20 percent off if they want to keep playing past the cutoff date on Feb. 28. (Removed games go back to their full Xbox Store price for everyone after then.)
Here’s the full list of outgoing games, with their prices for Game Pass subscribers until Feb. 28.

  • Aven Colony (2017): A city-building strategy game by Team17. $23.99.
  • Dovetail Games Euro Fishing (2014): A pro fishing sim offering “the adrenaline-packed action, fun and beauty of Europe’s most famous lakes.” $14.79.
  • The Final Station (2016): Side-scrolling shooter from tinyBuild that, incidentally, launches on Nintendo Switch Feb. 24. $11.99.
  • Kyub (2016): A puzzle game that launched under the ID@Xbox program for indies. $7.99.
  • Lumo (2016): An isometric puzzle platformer. $15.99.
  • Massive Chalice (2015): Double Fine’s turn-based strategy game which debuted on Xbox Live Games With Gold. $15.99.
  • Mega Coin Squad (2014): A “brawling platformer party game” by Adult Swim. $11.99.
  • Resident Evil: Revelations 2: The first of the game’s four episodes is included with the Game Pass subscription until the end of the month. The season pass for all episodes is $17.99 for subscribers and the deluxe edition is $23.99.
  • Shadow Warrior (2014): Reboot of the 1997 game made by the dear departed 3D Realms. $23.99.
  • Sonic CD (2011): Xbox 360 remaster of the 1993 flagship for the dear departed Sega CD. $4.99.

[h=1]Xbox Game Pass adds Alien: Isolation, Epic Mickey 2 to February 2019 lineup[/h]

[h=2]Four more games round out February Game Pass titles[/h]

Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get access to four more games as part of their subscription this month. Microsoft announced the rest of this month’s Xbox Game Pass releases Wednesday, which brings games like Alien: Isolation and Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two to an already strong February lineup.
As previously announced, Batman: Return to Arkham — the Xbox One collection that includes Arkham Asylum and Arkham City — is coming to Game Pass on Feb. 21. That day, it will be joined by Double Fine’s retro-futuristic Metroidvania game Headlander and Junction Point Studios’ Epic Mickey 2, a backward-compatible Xbox 360 game.
The following week, on Feb. 28, Xbox Game Pass will add The Creative Assembly’s horror game Alien: Isolation and Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead: Season Two. The first season of The Walking Dead was added to Game Pass earlier this month.
Microsoft promises more than 100 games as part of Xbox Game Pass, which costs $9.99 per month. The full list of games available on Game Pass is on the Xbox website.

[h=1]Xbox Game Pass for March: Just Cause 4 and Fallout 4 (again)[/h]

[h=2]Also F1 2018 and Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes[/h]

Just Cause 4, F1 2018 and the return of Fallout 4highlight the coming month of additions to the Xbox Game Pass library, Microsoft said today.
Just Cause 4 is available today on Xbox Game Pass. The over-the-top sandbox adventure launched barely three months ago (Dec. 4, 2018, to be precise). It’s joined by 2012’s Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, also available today.
On March 14, F1 2018 arrives on Game Pass, three days before Formula One racing’s 2019 championship begins in Melbourne. F1 2018 launched in August but it involves last year’s series and teams, so this game will lack a handful of renamed or new teams. Several drivers have also changed affiliations.
Fallout 4 joined the Game Pass library during E3 2018, and left back in November whenFallout 76launched. It’s back on March 14, probably to keep the Fallout flag waving afterFallout 76’s chilly reception. “After all, there will always be another settlement that needs your help,” Major Nelson wrote in today’s announcement. Yeah, no shit about that.
Xbox Game Pass’ library spans more than 200 titles, with games added in and rotated out every month. Check back next week, when Microsoft announces what will be leaving the service soon. Xbox Game Pass costs $9.99 a month.

[h=1]Xbox Game Pass adds Slay the Spire, Downwell, Jackbox, and more in August[/h]

The latest Game Pass additions for PC and consoles

The Xbox Game Pass subscription service is adding some unique titles in August, including one of the best party games around. You can view all the details on the official blog post, but here are the highlights:
Pandemic, the hit board game by Matt Leacock, now has a pretty decent digital version. If you’ve never played, or just need to get some friends up to speed with one of the best tabletop games of this generation, you can give it a whirl via Xbox Game Pass for console and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate starting Aug. 1.
Ashes Cricket also arrives on the same day for the same subscription plans.

MoppinAlso arriving on Aug. 1 is the hit indie game Downwell, developed singlehandedly by Japanese designer Ojiro Fumoto. It was originally released in 2015, and we considered it among the very best games that year.
On Aug. 8, players with Xbox Game Pass for console or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can get their hands on Jackbox Party Pack 2. The compilation includes Quiplash XL, which is all but guaranteed to turn an evening with friends into the world’s snarkiest guessing game. Best of all, you don’t need any extra controllers; everyone just logs into the server using their smart phone.

Cyanide Studios/Focus Home InteractiveAlso arriving this month is the latest version of a classic Warhammer 40,000 miniatures game. Space Hulk Tactics, from Cyanide Studios, is a tremendous take on the 1989 classic. It uses a clever card-based mechanic to keep the action moving, and allows for all manner of customization options. There are even several lengthy campaigns. If you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass for PC or the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you’ll have it in your collection starting Aug. 8.

Mega Crit GamesFinally, if you subscribe to either Xbox Game Pass for console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate you’ll be able to play Slay the Spire on Aug. 14. The collectible card game launched into early access over a year and a half ago, only to become one of the most beloved new indie titles on Steam, with over 31,000 positive reviews.

[h=1]Xbox Game Pass for August: Age of Empires, Devil May Cry 5, Blair Witch[/h]

Seven games join the library in the next week

Devil May Cry 5and Age of Empires: Definitive Edition join the Xbox Game Pass library today, with Ape Outand Bard’s Tale 4 on the way later, Microsoft announced from Gamescom.
They’re among the seven titles that will be added to the service over the next 10 days.Stellaris, whose console edition launched back in February, is also available beginning today. Microsoft said the spacefaring grand strategy game will come soon to Xbox Game Pass for PC, the company added.
Ape Out joins Xbox Game Pass on Thursday, Aug. 22. We had a load of fun with that game when it launched in November on Nintendo Switch. It’s a manic, funny, violent beat-’em-up with a hepcat drum accompaniment. Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the open-world RPG set in the Holy Roman Empire, also arrives to Game Pass on Aug. 22.
Bard’s Tale 4: Director’s Cut becomes available on Aug. 27, and is followed on Aug. 30 byBlair Witch. The adaptation of the 20-year-old film was announced back at E3 2019, and it figures to be a first-person horror game in the mode of P.T. and Outlast.
And for a sneak peek into September, Microsoft said that Dead Cellswill be added to Game Pass on Sept. 5.
In addition to the games, Microsoft will be introducing some quality-of-life features to the service. Among these, players will now be able to search for friends from Facebook or Steam friends lists to find them on Xbox. Some adjustments to downloads mean players will be able to select which drive they want their game installed (if they are using more than one) and the disk space each title requires. And the Xbox Game Pass for PC library will eventually join the mobile app; it is in beta on both Android and iOS right now.
Microsoft is currently offering 2 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, its new service combining Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold, for $2 (usually $14.99/month) through Sept. 19.
