Xbox 360 update(IS IT SAFE ?)

So guys, i finally got my damn DSL connection at home. (After 2 month's delay). So i fire up my 360 and there is this update. My question is is it safe to update ? no Ban issue here right ? I so wanna get online.

Please reply fast, otherwise im gonna do it any way :s
