White vertical line on the left side of the laptop, where to get it fixed? RWP/ISB

Something is wrong with my friend's laptop, I can only think that it happened after my friend tripped in the university (with the laptop bag on). He claims the bag didn't have any physical contract and it is only the impact.

We went to two local shops (Bread n butter k pichay wali... ) both of them didn't open or check it and claimed that the PAPER LED is faulty and will cost around 9,000rs to get it fixed!

Can I get it done for cheap? or is there another problem such as the cable might be loose!

P.S: The display is fine when we connect it to an external monitor. SO it's something with the laptop's screen!!!

My Friend got problem something like that. He went somewhere to get it fixed. They opened his screen & told him the charges of around 5000 but when they plugged and packed it back it fixed & its been 3 years now, its working fine . Try out this May be a ribbon of plug is loose bla bla
