Which UPS + Stabilizer for 700W PSU ?

hey PG.

1. would a 1KVA UPS + 1KVA stabilizer be enough for minimum 5 minutes backup ? (i only need 5 minutes max to save any work and shutdown pc)

2. which brand to get ? (Stabimatic 1KVA UPS for Rs.13,000 + Stabimatic 1KVA Stabilizer for Rs.3,300 - what i'm thinking of getting)

Budget is Rs.18,000-20,000

PSU is Corsair 700W

Specs = E8200 + DG41RQ + CalibreGTX460 + 2GB DDR2 + 3 HDDS

post ur system spec, backup time of UPS depends upon the load

1KV ups will be enough, but the problem is you'll need high quality UPS like APC... Local ups don't provide the rated power they provide always lower........

APC 1KVA is out of my budget. I'm thinking of getting either Stabimatic or Emerson (been using Emerson 600VA since a few months)

Go for a used apc 1kva or 1.5kva. I have both in my home. Running perfect since last 8 months. My 1kva runs 46in lcd, 500watt computer plus led monitor. Two energy savers.

Remember if ur psu is 700watt it doesnt mean it will always need 700watt. It could b running around at 400 or 500. Depends on ur system specs

If you are buying a UPS then you don't need a stabilizer. A UPS already has voltage stabilization built in. Its called AVR or automatic voltage regulation.
