@Ammar: Islamabad doesn't have any good "desi" food eat out places. But even that changed with the opening on BBQ tonight. When it comes to variety of eat out places, Islamabad beats Rawalpindi easily.

@Ali: Not many things you can do but here are some that came to my mind:

1. Go to hiking all the way up to Pir Sohawa.

2. Go to "Kim Mun" in Jinnah Super. Because you'll definitely miss their amazing food if you're a fan of Chinese food.

3. Crash a wedding in one of the tents you see throughout the city (I have never crashed a wedding waisey).

4. Rahat's Pizza (try the Hawaiian flavor if you haven't already).

and lastly

5. Give me a treat for your birthday

When are you leaving BTW? Would have liked to meet up again.

Hey Muaaz, I was actually thinking of driving to Pir Sohawa to see the lights at night (never thought of the hiking part )
I'am a fan of specific chinese food but thanks for the idea, would surely try that.
I did actually crash a formal wedding with my dad and grandma a few week's back, it was really hilarious ....
May be would treat you for the rahat pizza thing, I get to try it and you get free food

I'am also born and living in the same country for a while now.....22 years to be exact.....I've driven to many places and have seen quite some stuff.
But not for a second I'd think that low about this country and especially the fact that whatever Bull that guy said isn't true in the first place.

If people can't speak honestly and even justify their true opinions, then whatever they may say is as good as garbage.

I would agree that the law and order situation over here in Pakistan isn't good. Mostly the unfair (Bribed) party gets away in the end or the illitered ones.
But it doesn't at all mean that we should live in fear of it, not at all. (This is something many people can never get)
