What should be direction of Chip set fan?

Salaam all
I have a few 40mm fans lying Idle but fortunately they can fit heat sink of south bridge my question is should it be installed to suck air from heat sink or to push air in it ? experts please reply I suppose it should push air into heat sink :S

I had a Cooler Master Blue Ice recently which used to blow air OUT OF THE CASE manner.

how can you say that
heatsinks are made to sink heat so it shiuld blow onto the heatsink for efficient heat dissipition + you should have a good rear exhaust fan for pushing heat out of the case

Ah Sorry, my mistake. ^ is right. Heatsinks should be blown .
