wateen owns PTCL, so naturally, it will suck. the 4GB download limit is not good but 1200 for 1MB is cool. still, worldcall 100Kbps for 650 and unlimited is still good

Both PTCL and wateen own each other at sucking more.
Ptcl didn't install my connection because according to them its already installed at my home and I'm using it. Can some service be more pathetic than that?

And wateen, they have officially launced their service since 14th august 2007 by giving big ads in newspapers and they are sucking since then by dodging public. Now when they have actually launched, their service is expensive like hell. Why am I supposed to pay them 8500 or 17000 rs in advance for an year? What if after paying that much money, I don't get proper service?

And people saying wateen is better because its giving wireless internet. C'mon guys be practical. As an individual customer, do you really care whether its wireless or wired internet. What everyone really cares about is speed and proper customer support and low rates. If you are getting 512Kbps, its gonna stay 512Kbps regardless of whether it is wi-max or wired broadband dsl.

I have never actually used PTCL's DSL or anything like that. I have a local ISP her who, God bless him, has given me a link which works at almost 1mbps at night (sometimes during day too) and at 512kbps during the day.

When wateen says 1mbps, is it REALLY 1mbps? Or just a figure?

I am currently using the 512kbps/4GB/Rs.1200perMonth connection, and its very good too...but im basically looking for an unlimited connection, cuz i download TONs of big stuff (e.g. HD Movies, DVDs, Games, etc..)...

if wateen can give an unlimited connection with a decent speed, it wud be very good for me

I just checked the PTCL DSL 256kb/sec connection at my friends home.Download speed at peak hours is 32 to 40 Kb/sec and at night 50 to 70 kb/sec.It is 1200 per month with 4 GB data limit and at night from 1.00 A.M to 8.00 A.M u can download unlimited data and there are no hidden charges.

LOL i get 40KB+ on my cable, why was i waiting for this crummy connection again?

You sure have one good cable connection o_0 I used to get 20 kbps when I started, but now it's 10 kbps-ish... ~_~ I need a better connection. My downloads literally take weeks to complete.
