hopefully it'll have better voice acting then LCS did . and the main story mode is a bit longer. LCS was too short compared to san andreas.

well, it hasnt been officially announced yet, the only source we have is the esrb listing, which is pretty credible. Although porting from psp to ps2 shouldnt take more then a month. I expect R* will announce the port job around march.

its a multiplatform game, like all the GTA games thus far, the only thing different is that the game will be released on PS3 and 360 at the same time this time around.

yep its coming to the ps3/360 at the same time, and its gta 4 lol, not 6

san andreas, vice city and gta III are all labled in the gta III trilogy, vice city stories and liberty city stories are side stories.

yep, gta 4 at this time is scheduled to come out for both the ps3 and 360 some time in late 2007.

So you can imagine the excitement that was launched last week for fans of the series when PlayStation.com updated its list of PS2 titles with GTA: Vice City Stories. Details for the game were extremely sparse; with the sole exception of the genre and the expected ESRB rating of M for Mature, the game description and release date was completely missing. However, this "announcement" generated a ton of buzz around message boards with the prospect of a new GTA title gracing Sony's venerable system. Unfortunately, it seems that this was a bit premature. We contacted Rockstar today for comment on the posting, and a Rockstar PR representative stated that "as a company, Rockstar does not comment on rumors or speculation."

Why would PlayStation.com list this as an upcoming title? Speculation could only be that Sony assumed that the series might be coming to the PS2, and posted the announcement without actual information from Rockstar. While we'd all like to see a new GTA, it looks like we'll have to wait for GTA IV, because Vice City Stories isn't going to land on the PS2 any time soon. If this changes, however, we'll be sure to let you know first.

Rockstar is keeping quiet about the possibility of a PlayStation 2 version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, despite seemingly relentless rumour and speculation. Having already featured (albeit briefly) on the American ratings board ESRB website, before being pulled, the game has now shown up in the PS2 section of the PlayStation.com website. And been pulled. Rockstar has since said that it won't comment.

That's not to say it's not happening. After all, there are plenty of reasons why Rockstar would choose to keep quiet. Obviously their investors take a big interest in the series, with mother-company Take-Two's fortunes often swinging on these sorts of confirmations and denials. As well as its existence, Rockstar would want to get a price point (budget? full? what?) and a release date absolutely aligned before telling the stock market anything.
It's also possible that the game is in development quietly, or is easily portable, but that Rockstar hasn't decided to do it, and is wavering between positions. After all, Grand Theft Auto IV is due out this October on next-generation formats, and with limited time to take care of a current-generation Vice City Stories release, the publisher may prefer to hold off so as not to risk cannibalising sales.
In any event, it's clear they're uncomfortable speculating, so we'll be sure to, er, continue doing that for them. What about you lot? Any particular thirst for Vice City Stories on PS2? Who knows, they might be reading.

you dont see R* openly saying "Its a PSP exclusive, no other thing is announced" either lol.

if R* were to make a statement saying something like that which capcom did with DMC4 openly stating that its a exclusive to so and so console, then i'd believe.
