I need guidence for the VDSL settings. My modem is of VDSL type and my exchange also have VDSL card installed in it. However, my modem is still running on ADSL mode instead of VDSL. As soon as I delete the settings from ATM Interface my Internet stop working. Unfortunately PTCL employees have no idea about this thing in my area. Anyone who have idea and can guide me please just point me in right direction so that I can fix this issue by my own. From PTCL side I am already on VDSL and I already have the VDSL supported router from PTCL. I know I need VDSL ID but currently I don't have it

Complain on 1218 about this. U have to be on vdsl mode in order for ur vdsl modem to work. And u will need vlan mux id from ur area exchange for ur vdsl modem in order for it to work.

Did you receive the VDSL login details from PTCL?

I have port number for VDSL. Problem is people in my PTCL exchange do not have any idea about VDSL. they are doing ADSL settings and telling people that VDSL is running. Whereas in reality it is ADSL.

VDSL 2 modem i have from PTCL. Model is ZXHN H168N v2.2. It is latest modem of PTCL for VDSL. Complain on 1218 is already made but as you know it's PTCL their prime responsibility is to keep customer on hold. VLan Mux ID i already have from PTCL.

Call 1218 in early hours of the morning or very late in the evening so that the hold time is less and ask them to transfer your call to technical department for VDSL settings,,,,,,that how i did it!!!
but i don't think you have setting problem as you said your modem still shows ADSL instead of VDSL i think your connection is still not shifted to VDSL port

My issue is still not yet resolved. Kindly upload the settings pictures of your VDSL PTCL modem so that I can also get some idea where is the problem

You need to get a hold of your local line man. He will supply you with your username and password for your VDSL connection. Once the input has been made; the router will setup itself automatically from the backend.
