Upgrading to IOS 5

Hello Guys ,
M running an iphone 4 on 4.3.3 ( jailbroken) with BB 4.10.1 using gevey sim pro . Now IOS5 is out and i am tempted to upgrade to it .
After reading around a few forums i came to know that if i upgrade to ios5 while preserving my baseband , i can still use the gevey sim to unlock it .

Came across this method of updating . Can someone please let me know if this works ? . The unthetered IOS5 jailbreak will release in a week .I`ll have my phone updated if the method mentioned below works .

Also this is my 1st iphone . Was an android guy before . What if something goes wrong ? can i go back to my original 4.3.3 ?

Bro i would advise u to just wait for unthetered iOS5 jailbreak and save ur phone's blobs through cydia before doing anything.

Its quite easy to save shsh blobs i don't know if you noticed but when you jailbreaked your iPhone and launched cydia there must have been a option asking if you wanna make your life easier or not well you choose yes then they have been saved automatically by cydia if you didn't the. You can manually by download a package called iShshit from cydia and its free. Install it and launch and it should show you an option to save your shsh blobs and email them to your desired email address just do this and tadan you have saved you shsh blobs. Hope this helps.

got shshit from cydia .

If i check mark the via cydia option it saves it fine . but if i uncheck it it says that the firmware is not available for signing .

When they are saved when check marking the via cydia option . I can see that something is saved in manage shsh .

Did i do this correctly ?

You can't save shsh for all the previous version oy firmware versions which are still being signed by apple can be saved if this your first time saving them. Hope this helps. and the shsh blobs that have been saved i would say you better email them to your email address.

That occurs because your shsh blobs are already being saved in cydia and previous versions have been saved too and when you uncheck it the reason it doesnt saves them is because apple has stop signing previous versions.

i read on various forums tht ios5 is not fully compatible with majority of apps
