This beautiful baby finally reached its destination after weeks of waiting. It is now part of my latest PC I adoringly call "BeastMode"

I miscalculated the arrival time and sold my Gigabyte G1 1080 a month in advance which meant surviving on the 750 Ti the whole time until now.

My initial thoughts - this is by far the quietest GPU I've come across in the last 4,5 years. My Strix 970, and the Gigabyte G1 1080 were fairly audible during load. This one, I don't know what magic EVGA has done with ACX 3.0 but even under load, the fan noise is not noticable! and I'm a noise freak. So this is just awesome.

I was overwhelmed with excitement when I got it so the unboxing isn't the most well thought out but it should make do.

Now, on to the unboxing.

Hey, stop hiding under there! Come out, this is your new home! :)

Thank you, dear 750 Ti for your services. You'll go back to the Reserve force and will be called upon if needed in future. Your services mean a great deal to me - after all, I wouldn't be able to play League for the last month if it wasn't for your bravery. Love.

Beastmode, say hi to your new family member. He'll be chilling with everybody now and ensure you guys have enough fire power for whatever app/game you guys have to deal with.
my dear child, 1080 FTW, I hope you'll like your new family - I've ensured you have the best of air flow and sufficient juice so you never feel bad at any point.

Thanks @mbk99 , @AchtungPakhtoon , @smjunaid

As for performance, I just compared two of my scores and compared to the G1 1080, its 6-10% better scores. 7.9% average. Not bad. I am just super pleased with the extremely quiet operation which is a god send as it saved me from going water cooling solution which'd have cost a good 10-20k rs extra if it was loud.

comparison scores: Result

The performance gap is huge mainly due to processor has improved significantly.. But still this one is much better

@Rebel640, @EasyLover, @kamran saeed, @Awais Saleem :

Tagging all the EVGA 1000 series owners, not sure if you guys are already aware of the heating issue but take care of the temperatures there on your cards as they have been dying on people, specifically FTW variants. You can get free EVGA thermal pads they are offering now.

Welp, my EVGA 1070 FTW just killed itself...

Word of warning: The EVGA 1080 blackscreen/fan bug is based on a hotspot, which pretty much affects their whole pascal line

Caution: EVGA 1070 and 1080 series cards may have a hardware fault
