Announced on Capcom-Unity, Ultra Street Fighter IV will release in arcades in Japan on April 2014. Fighting fans overseas in North America and Europe will be able to get their hands on the updated version on consoles digitally shortly after the arcade release but before EVO 2014 on July 11-13, 2014.
Capcom says the long wait for release is due to the development team taking feedback and requests for the Ultra version. They're also making sure that the new characters in Ultra are implemented correctly as porting the characters from Street Fighter X Tekken simply won't work with the rules in Street Fighter IV.
New modes will be in USFIV but will be revealed at a later date.
