I think on all GPON packages except the 100 Mbps one.

Probably because Nayatel recently launched some 'unlimited' packages and they've had symmetrical speeds for ages, so PTCL felt a little threatened.

Some people in the PTCL group have started getting 15/15 and 50/50.
For some reason, the 25 Mbps package had symmetrical speeds since a few months ago.

Yes! When I was on 25, I got symmetrical speeds. Then on 50, it went to 48.5/37.5. Smart TV has gotten me above 50 though :tv:

Are you sure that it is PTCL? Because recently StormFiber has been deploying fiber in Wapda Town so I thought maybe they are the one digging to lay fiber cables.

Does anyone know who to contact at PTCL for cable related issues? I wanted to switch to VDSL, however, there are no extra wires/cables in my street that they can use for vdsl. I've been checking with the line-man and exchange for over a year now but they keep saying when we add more wires then you'll be able to get vdsl - currently they have no plans of adding more wires since there is no demand for more lines/services here. I feel this will take forever if I'm not proactive, so would appreciate if someone can guide me on how to handle this with PTCL and get them to take care of the cabling.

I'm in DHA Phase 8 (Park View) Lahore and exchange is Guldasht

Just got a call from 1218, basically it was a recording informing me that internet and phone service might go down at midnight as they are performing a network upgrade and I will get a much better service after the upgrade is complete. I already have VDSL and I live in Wapda Town, Lahore. Not sure what they are doing probably just bs?

That is a possibility as Storm Fiber has also been granted permission to Wapda Town so in order to stay competitive PTCL is also deploying fiber. I have also noticed a lot of digging going on around my area recently.

Not sure but they just upgraded the WT exchange last year so maybe they are bringing GPON. My lineman informed me that GPON was going to be available here soon while I was upgrading to VDSL last year. So I guess it is time that they are finally bringing GPON here since Storm Fiber has also been granted permission to WT.

95% it is BS lol. Had 3 like these in past 3 years. No improvements.
