You can try 1492 because it basically means 1500 because 1492 + 8 bytes for PPPoE overhead.Quick question, What are your MRU values guys? Mine is at 1480 but my AP says the default should be set to 1500 on MTU. I read about it online and found out that they are basically the same thing. What is the PTCL's default MRU value? Also can it effect routing and the ping because i tried messing around with the value to 1500, My ping kinda increased dont know if it was due to buffer bloat or me changing the MRU value...

Line stats seem normal. Although the screenshot is not very detailed.AoA Guys. I am having a serious issue with my PTCL DSL since the last couple of months. I am having a 6MB connection with smart tv (the smart tv device remains off most of the time). I play DOTA 2 online and get frequent disconnections. The ping remains ok for a few mins, then all of a sudden game disconnects, when i check the modem, it shows connected but there is no browsing for at least 1 to two minutes or until i restart the modem. Connection gets stable after a couple of minutes. This happens every 10 to 15 minutes. The line parameters seem ok to me. I read from this forum to change modulation to G.dmt but when i uncheck other modulation options, the internet does not connect. when i check ASDL2 and ADSL+ along with G.dmt, then the modem connects to the internet.
SNR Margin downstream 17.4, upstream 6.5
Attenuation downstream 15.5, upstream 9.8

I will be grateful if anyone can advise how to resolve this issue
before I was using default 1400 set in PTCL modem but now i am using 1492 in openwrt and it is working fineYou can try 1492 because it basically means 1500 because 1492 + 8 bytes for PPPoE overhead.
If you face issues like packet loss you should drop down back to 1480.
APs default to 1500 because they don't do any routing.
MTU affects download speeds, and not really the ping (and definitely never the bad routing).before I was using default 1400 set in PTCL modem but now i am using 1492 in openwrt and it is working fine
These are the complete stats of DSLLine stats seem normal. Although the screenshot is not very detailed.
The full line stats page includes a lot more data, does your modem not have that?
How long has the issue been happening for?
