Google Play "No Connection" Error on Galaxy S3 SHV-E210k

My Gmail and Playstore apps are not connecting when I turn WIFI on :tears: I am using Galaxy S3 SHV-E210K (upgraded it to 4.4.4). Everything else works fine except apps that require a Google account. Browser works fine with WIFI. Games that require a connection work fine with WIFI. Whatsapp works fine with WIFI. Pretty much everything except Google works fine with WIFI :crying:

I have tried:

• Factory reset
• Installed the 4.4.4 update again
• Clearing Google Play and Google Framework cache and data
• Clearing Gmail cache and data
• Deleting my Google account from my phone and starting over
• Deleted "hosts" file from "/system/etc"

None of the above has worked. Everything was connected fine with WIFI until about 2 days ago. Not sure what happened. Any suggestions?

you must be using PTCL. Just install hotspot shield on your cell (use your network provided net Or download apk using browser). Sometimes google play store does not work on PTCL broadband so you need to try again & again, that might also work.

Forget your Wi-Fi network in the Wi-Fi settings. Then re-connect to it, press Modify Network settings by holding the network you're connected to. Change IP settings from DHCP to Static. Change DNS:
DNS 1: 8.8.8.8
DNS 2: 8.8.4.4
Then turn Wi-Fi off.

Clear Cache of:
Play Store
GMAIL
Google Services Framework
Google Play Services

Turn Wi-Fi back on and reconnect to the same network.

Forget your Wi-Fi network in the Wi-Fi settings. Then re-connect to it, press Modify Network settings by holding the network you're connected to. Change IP settings from DHCP to Static. Change DNS:
DNS 1: 8.8.8.8
DNS 2: 8.8.4.4
Then turn Wi-Fi off.

Clear Cache of:
Play Store
GMAIL
Google Services Framework
Google Play Services

Turn Wi-Fi back on and reconnect to the same network.

1) Fix SMS 160 characters limit
2) International looking Dialer
3) Samsung Boot animation
4) SD card Write enabled
5) Removed Samsung apps, Knox , Korean Apps

All these stuff in one go in Flashable Zip without going through lots of hassle.

Also for those looking for Root and Recovery too, I have included guide below



Guide for those who have not yet flashed 4.4.4:

1. Download the Rom from sammobile from below link and flash using Odin (i used 3.09) in Downloadmode
Firmwares | SamMobile

2. Once Rom is booted, enter your accounts etc and then reboot into download mode again and download Flash TWRP Recovery from below link and flash using Odin (its for i9300- works for us)
Techerrata Downloads - Downloading openrecovery-twrp-2.8.0.1-i9300.tar

3. Now boot into recovery and flash the All in One Fix that I made

4. Stay in recovery and flash UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.13.zip to obtain root. You can download from link below

5. Once you boot into system, open SuperSU, it might ask for updating binary, do it and reboot again

Thats it..

Additionally you can use Wanam Xposed from PlayStore which is very useful for all other mods.

Everything is correct.
Except after SuperSU (v2.13) is installed, go to Play Store and update it to v2.14 and then follow the rest of the steps.
V2.14 has useful bug fixes which is why I'm posting here.

My S4 is still waiting for update and S3 Korean got it first , lol

Koreans are not like Pakistani people, they make best phones for themselves and low specs for other world. Look at specs of S5 international and Korean... and the good thing is, they sell it cheaper too

I didn't know about 2.14 either. I was getting binary update problems with 2.13 and I checked Play Store for an update and 2.14 fixes binary issues. All is well now.

The Koreans have done some weird shit here. Only their S3 has the 4.4.4 update which is quite odd, both the S4 & S5 are still using 4.4.2, even the Korean S4 & S5 are running 4.4.2

I agree with you on the last part.
Their devices always have more storage, and in most cases a faster processor.
For instance, the E330 (Korean S4) has 32GB storage and an S800 processor, whereas the I9505 has 16GB and an S600 processor.
Same goes for the Korean S2, it has LTE, it has a 720p screen, it has a higher clock speed and it has a larger battery.

Salam to All...A friend of mine gave me his LG SU640 cell phone telling that it had signal issue, I thought of trying a custom ROM, so i installed Sphinx v3 Supercharge but the signal issue remained, i put the cell phone aside and it has about 80% battery...it was during eid holidays...after a few days he asked for the set, i gave him, he tried to turn it on but it won't Power On even though he charged it for some time...

now i'm stuck with kinda dead/bricked cellphone, plz help me out!

It is battery issue. Many Roms do not support charging in off mode, but even then your mobile should turn on when you plug in the charger. So yes, it is battery issue.
