I noticed that when I call someone with Jazz VoWifi it takes 6 to 7 seconds to ring, when I redial it rings within a second and after about half an hour again it takes 6 to 7 seconds. But with VoLTE it always starts ringing within half a second.

can anyone confirm it ?

AP mode? As in, you've disabled the access point? Which mode is this, again?
i think he is saying airplane mode.

try it with Wifi 5 if you can. i'm sure your wifi router or your internet is the reason. when i was on wifi 2.4ghz i was also facing issues like voice break during call or out of reach.

Good point. Also, ensure that your wifi channel isn't congested, and where possible, use the 5Ghz band (less congestion) than 2.4Ghz.

There's really no way of knowing exactly what your circumstances are given we don't live in your house... but it would be interesting to know whether your phone is dozing off too soon (do you have force doze on, in case you're on Android and rooted)?

Disconnection: assuming the tower is not at fault, it'll either be your equipment (that could be faulty), or Mobilink (that are doing something with the tower).

Assuming the tower, itself, is not choked or malfunctioning or throttled.
i m little satisfied with jazz 1800 and consider it stable for me..

took few steps
bamboo Stick device ( kept tx power low :- thinking that this can keep it working state rather than stuck )

as now that device tx power is low so i have moved router near,

status ss attached

Yes it's been like this since VoWiFi was launched.

Airplane Mode. My bad.

I am connected to 5Ghz WiFi inside my house and don't have any interference issues either. Also, I am not rooted (Android 14, OneUI 6). The thing is, even if I get disconnected from WiFi for a second or so, VoWiFi is supposed to be back and running when I reconnect, right? I tested turning WiFi toggle off/on on my phone (while staying in Airplane Mode) and VoWiFi worked fine in this case. There is something else that interrupts it over a longer period.

It is actually how it works. Since VoLTE users utilize Jazz's mobile network, it connects to a Jazz number instantly, and this is how VoLTE is supposed to work. While VoWiFi calls go through a third-party WiFi network, so it takes its sweet time to connect to a number on the Jazz network.

Still taking 7 seconds is not justified even though VoIP apps like Skype, Facebook and WhatsApp connect the call instantly over Wi-Fi.
Does every global telecom operator experience this call setup time on VoWifi or is Jazz not handling it correctly?

VoIP apps like WhatsApp and Skype work through internet-to-internet connections, while VoWiFi operates through internet-to-mobile network connectivity. This slight difference causes a few seconds of delay because VoWiFi calls connect through your router to the mobile network.

VoWiFi experiences this delay universally across all networks. VoLTE consistently establishes connections faster than VoWiFi, although the call quality will always be superior on VoWiFi.

Can someone Explain this to me
My redmi Note 8 pro was not supporting to Jazz CA
But today I see this 4G+ at a new location ( which band CA ? )
It doesn't support Carrier Aggregation (CA) between Band 3 and Band 8, as Jazz was offering earlier. However, Jazz has now introduced 3-way CA 4G+ among Bands 3, 1, and 8. Your RN8 Pro supports CA only between Band 3 and Band 1, allowing it to pick up 4G+ CA signals from Bands 3 and 1.

I have Poco X3 NFC and this mobile also not supported band 8 with jazz carrier aggregation...so how can allow it band 8 ?

Actually, you can't. If you observe CA (Carrier Aggregation) combos below for your device, it only supports 2-way CA, specifically between band 1 and 3, and band 3 and 5 among the available combos in Pakistan. All you can do is enable VoLTE or VoWiFi if not supported on your device by rooting or flashing a custom ROM.

I ported my Zong number to Jazz a few weeks ago and I am not receiving OTPs for some apps like when signing up for Zindigi by JS Bank. Any idea why?

P.S It's not a network issue as I am receiving it on my other Jazz number just fine.

This is the biggest con of MNP which stupid PTA couldn't resolve even after more than a decade.

It's working fine with other apps though. It's a hit or miss then I guess.

EDIT: I checked the same app on another ported Jazz number and it received OTP, lol. Don't know what is going on, I have emailed Jazz about it though.
