Don't go for Wingle. If you really want to go for PTCL wireless, better opt for charji instead [emoji1]

Where have you been? Haven't seen you active since late 2015.

It seems that the SNR issue does affect all operators, some more than others. Mobilink LTE in one spot gives this result.

Moving barely 2 steps away from there, the speed drops to 4 Mbps and refuses to go higher.

Very annoying because I don't hang off the side of my balcony all day so it's a bit inconvenient to have to do that to get the right speed.

I complained about this using their heartbeat app and it took my coordinates as well, so I hope something happens about it.

Maybe you should hang on the side of the balcony all the time...? [emoji14]

But thanks for reiterating my statement. We just have to see which operator is affected less.

What we do know is that Telenor is affected the most. God knows why!

Bahria Town Phase 2. It's the cell phone tower that's built into a water tower somewhere between Phase 2 and 3.

Best speed I've ever gotten on Jazz LTE.

I wonder if all of the phone towers are on the water towers.

And if that's the case, why is it that Zong has poor signals there?

Most of the ones I've seen are built into water towers, though there is the occasional exception and you'll see normal ones as well like next to the Arena or the on at the PTCL exchange.

But this is definitely the best speed I've ever gotten on Jazz.

Can anyone in Islamabad with rooted SD device check how much spectrum Jazz is using for 4G (1800 MHz) now there? Because companies always start refarming in Islamabad.

And can anyone with Mediatek device check via MTK engineering mode app that is there any Jazz 4G signals on Band 8 (900 MHz) by disabling band 3 (1800 MHz)?

Tests should be around Jazz headquarter.

I'll try to test out tomorrow, but as for the signals, don't hold your breath - they may have internal arrangements via femtocells, which don't "leak" signals outside (since their range is limited anyway).

I used the app yesterday afternoon, and they were still using 5Mhz.

I can back what Shaheerk said.

Though I'm not in Islamabad, nor am I anywhere near their headquarters / main office, they're still using 5 MHz and no sign of Band 8 LTE yet.

Aren't they taking too much time?
