As for the Pixel 4 - it's a shame it's SD 855... which makes me raise this question: is this chipset-dependent, or IMEI-dependent?

Last we heard Zong's VoLTE was still internal and only for employees and you can only get it enabled on your number if you know someone working for Zong.

None of the MBBs sold by either Jazz or Zong support 4G+, which is quite disappointing.

There are unlocked Huawei devices available in the market that support 4G+, they're not cheap, I think the cheapest one I saw was 9,000 Rs, but they work well and some of them have external antenna ports as well for better performance.

Jazz and Zong both have same VoLTE solution. Yes Jazz VoLTE does support iOS.

And here I am, with the Pixel 4, without VoLTE, but with a perfectly capable processor and modem.

And it's generally Android devices that get the short end of the stick.

I just checked out on Reddit - someone from Bangladesh said they have the Pixel 6 and VoLTE works on their network (whichever one it is), so the theory of Google not supporting VoLTE outside the countries it's officially sold in needs to be verified/questioned.

Difference in Telenor and Jazz/Zong VoLTE is is that Telenor only partnered with OEM's like OPPO and Realme but Jazz/Zong on the other hand also partnered with Chipset manufacturers like Qualcomm. Jazz/Zong VoLTE works on all Snapdragon 678+, 720+, 860+ devices.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, you can only become a VoLTE tester on Zong if you know a Zong employee who can activate it for you.

VoLTE is only available internally for employees at the moment. They haven't rolled it out to the same extent as Jazz.

why the f... Ufone is so slow in 4G roll out in Faisalabad. I have seen that Ufone 4G has been rolled out to almost all of big cities with 80-90 % coverage. But in Faisalabad 4G coverage is still 40-50 %. Same was the case with 3G roll out.

Xiaomi isn't mentioned in the list, but I think Jazz VoLTE does work on some newer Xiaomi phones.

Hopefully they expand device support as time goes on.

Jazz VoLTE works on all Xiaomi phones released in past 2 years in Pakistan.
