Saw " Magnificent Seven " tonight at CINESTAR IMAX !

Spoiler: show

Directed by antoine fuqua and starring denzel wasghinton, chriss pratt and ethan hawke along with other cast members aswell !

the movie is nicely directed giving that wild west look and the gun fights man oh man were great... the movie was 2 hour plus and well at times did felt dragged the whole first hour was assembling and making plans and all etc but the last gun fight was amazing man and the twists and shocks were man real for the war between....

the cast was diverse giving that different kind of moments and approach to each character... i think each character was individually given a backstory except for few like the red indian and the mexican, even vincent donofrio wasn't given much but he was good :) all were good IMO

i think denzel and ethan hawke reunite once more after training day which was another antoine fuqua movie :)

Rating: 7.5/10

The movie is good except that denzel was playing too much denzel for his own good, and chris pratt was being chris pratt. They were not even trying. Action was indeed among the best in western.

The shallows

Lot of blake lively butt and chest shots , the first hour is utter crap its getting only praise cause of the whole feminist movement these days , how a single girl survives , the last 20 mins are ok , i thought movie would be excellent cause trailers looked awesome .

Medicore movie , plus lively i always thought she was a bad actress but her movie the age of adaline changed my mind , i guess she needs to pick movies like adaline i hope cafe society is good , cause this movie the shallows wont take her to any heights apart from her Cali beauty

UnKnown (2006)

Unknown is a mystery thriller about five guys who wake up in a warehouse without any memory, and they try to figure out who they are and what happened.

Now this movie does a good enough job of creating the suspense, the setting and the characters so that you are invested enough to be thrilled. You try to figure out who's right and who's wrong, who's good and who's bad, and stuff like that along with the characters, hooking you in the movie.

The acting was good enough to sell this premise. And just like the characters are doubting their-selves and each other, you start to do the same, which is a job well done for a movie like this.

The bulk of the movie takes place in the warehouse, but there are scenes of the law enforcement side, which aren't as interesting, and hence break the pacing a bit. Nothing too serious, but worth mentioning.

Now, unfortunately, two things in particular ruined the movie for me. First, the ending. In hopes of trying to one-up itself at every turn near the end, the movie got lost in its own twists, and instead of ending on a high note, it ended on a whimper, at least for me. Secondly, some information gets known to you a bit too early in the movie, lessening the tension in the warehouse.

This could have been a decent mystery thriller, but some poor decisions brought it down to the So-So level.

Now You See Me 2 (2016)

Now You See Me 2 is a sequel to the 2013's Now You See Me, and once again stars the four horsemen, who this time find their selves being recruited by someone else in order to pull off a heist only they can perform, while dealing with other shit along the way.

I enjoyed the first one when it came out. I liked it for what it was, a fun, entertaining, pop corn flick not to be taken seriously. And this one follows the same path while upping the ante like a typical sequel. There was this comradery to the group giving you the feel that time has past between them. They definitely could have done more with it though.

Most of the old cast is back and once again delivered good performances all round. Lizzy Caplan replaced Isla Fisher as the female horsemen. Now I was worried at first because in her first scene, she felt annoying and way over the top. But luckily that was the end of that because as it turned out, she was a great addition to the group, and ultimately felt better than Isla Fisher. She brought this fun energy to the group that I really enjoyed and was an all round likable character. Also, Mr. Potter joined the cast and played as the main baddie, which was fun in its own way, especially in the later scenes with Michael Cain.

The magic sequences were bigger and more ridiculous this time around, and highly entertaining. Some of them did require you to suspend your disbelief an awful lot.

With the story continuation from the previous part, the movie made it more convoluted than it already was. Twists and turns, conveniences and coincidences, just like the last part but notched up, making a mess at times. Also, Chinese character portions felt really forced, like added in the last minute to increase revenue from China.

All in all, I enjoyed it about as much as the first one. The story is messy, and just like the first one, you have to suspend your disbelief a lot in order to enjoy what it actually is, and if you can do that, then by all means give it a watch. Otherwise, you'll find it stupid.

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!
